East coast openings?

i cant find the tenative dates anywhere, so maybe someone can help me out. i heard that mount snow will open nov. 1st... truth? it seems reasonable because of all their new fan guns.
 
i like that you said its reasonable because of all their fan guns. fan guns arent what get mountains open initially. they are what keep mountains open longer but not early. terrible in marginal temps.
 
a/w combi guns are what we still use. a lot of places still use them, especially east coast. i dont know what "new" guns youre talking about but they couldnt have changed that much.
 
uhm, isnt it cuz of their fan guns that they opened like nov 11th last year, with enough snow to make a decent early season park. and their fan guns are some new revolutionary technology type guns, which allows them to work in marginal temps
 
I've heard just the opposite, these new fan guns are suppused to work up to 35-40 degrees, whereas the older system needed 28 degrees or below1 anyone care to clarify on this 1?
 
i havent heard much about that gun. the newest gun we got are polecats. so i did a little brief research on the m18. they talk alot about nucleation which i thought was wierd. anyway, it says 29 wetbuld, which is pretty high for a fan gun. almost all fan guns will work that high it just depends on how well. the site doesnt really go deep into the details so from what i can tell, its just a normal fan gun with some fancy nucleation technology - which really just depends on your water source and additives. i dont see how a gun can compliment the natural nucleation process.
 
I read that the new Mount Snow guns can make snow in temperatures up to 39 degrees as long as the humidity rate remains around 10%
 
when i say i dont see how a gun can compliment nucleation, i mean the nucleator. shock nucleation and shit is still dependent on the outside temp. that sucks when that happens though
 
Which is an absurdly low humidity measurement. In all likelihood, they still need sub-freezing temperatures to make. Those new fan guns are best in marginal temperatures though.

That said, the temps are going to need to reverse themselves here in the east as it has been warm as of recent. There is evidence that temps will be returning to normal though this weekend, with even the chance of some colder than normal weather later this month.

That said, I can speak on behalf of Killington. They have set their opening for November 14th.
