seriously, we should have one. I would say have it at sunday river because its neutral between canada and vermont and it has a tight park

thoughts?

I deff agree with the east coast gathering, but i dont think sunday river, I usually ski at okemo, but i think killy would be good, its big, they have a gondola and its not far from anyone in vermont/nh, but most things in canada are far from vermont..hopefully someone will put something like this together

def. killy, but we would have to get killy on boerd to give us a lift ticket discount and shit like that, I really like the sound of "NSers ski free!!"

no doubt, i would say the river but thats only because its close to me, Killington would be by far the best location

it should be at that NYC rail jam.

that would be tight cuz its in the middle of the city and NS can get tones of publicity and we can run the streets

yea, my vote is for blue mountain wouldnt be to far from midwest.even though there closed im sure there bound to open again sometime soon.

IT HAS TO BE IN QUEBEC CAUSE THE DRINKING AGE IS 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

but then again, its not about the booze, its about the skiing.

Killy!! but next month when I'm back in school... and hell maybe we'll have an inch of snow by then or something.

No...Avila. This is the best place. Close to all of the NS royalty, and NS headquarters. Close enough to the US/Ontario boarder. Close to toronto for people from the t-dot, and close enough to VT for you americans.

killy is closer to us shredders in MA and yeah killy is sick so i say killy. wait till they have up their full park though

Killy is a pretty central location. Places in Canada like Blue don't really make sense at all. Sunday river is so far away from being central. This would be dope. I'd be so down. I'm pretty sure you can get group discounts. Anyone have any idea about that?

killy is my vote, even though i love sunday river, it's not close enough for some people, like people have said.

and just get a 'group' discount kinda thing? except our group would be like a billion people

In all seriousness. This is a park website. I want everyone who reads this to consider Big Boulder and here is why.

1. They have a full blown park NOW - the beginner park is better than anything I saw all the way up to Stowe last weekend. They have 3 parks open, NOW... all the way up to 50'+ rails and 50'+ jumps

2. The BB staff is dedicated to everything park. Look for updates soon on the front page.

3. They don't open until 3 pm on weekdays. If something like this could be pulled off and organized and scheduled for a weekday. The event could be possibly held on a "closed to the public mountain" like yesterdays competition.

a NS moderator or someone should create a poll on the front page, where a choice of all the mountains that have been listed here should be given, that way we'll easily know where the majority of people want it at.

sounds like the only way to do it. bb sounds sick, but unfortunately there is no way you could consider that centralized to the east coast. I mean from mass it'd be like 7-9 hours or so (no clue where in PA it is), so it'd be like well over 10 for the kids from maine and northern VT and NH. not to mention canada. going on a closed day would be so ill though, I wish we had a mt like that in new england.

PA is not a centralized spot for the east coast sorry.........we might as well have it in tremblant if thats the case it will be the same drive time for me .....and shorter for those north of me

In reality location is key. I just wanted to make sure that I got the word out of a serious possibility of an event location that would likely be supported by the mountain itself.

BTW... Nipples and I left Stowe VT at 4:30PM on Sunday the 7th and arrived at Big Boulder at 11pm.. We made 1stop for fuel, 1 rest stop and 1 food stop. Map Quest Lake Harmony, PA

papasteeze, Isnt nipples your son..why do you keep calling him nipples, ok its a nice nickname, but doesnt he have a real name..i mean hes ur son

think about this Pennsylvania is incredibly far from most ski places in the east and not close to people from new hampshire, mass, maine, and canada where most east ns'ers are

my vote changes from sunday river to waterville valley waterville is closer to people from quebec and its not to far for people from vermont to go to, plus is has a sick park

your out of your mind if you think ppl from maine, vt, ct, ri, and ma are gona drive all the way to PA. im sure its a sick park and all but thats way far. the best idea is killy, it suits the best for the most ppl. we can have a organized vote if we need to

killington would be best, waterville maybe but sunday river and BB would both be so far for most people
