East Coast mountains approximate opening days

sugarbush opens by thanksgiving, Killington tries to be open first so probably before then, other than that idk

Baker opened on the 7th of November last year. But that's west coast, but we can still cross our fingers! I wanna ski on halloween!

wa wa is claiming the 23 of November. but that will never happen unless we finally get lucky and have a good start to the season with cold temps

Cataloochee in North carolina will open the 10th of november, possibly earlier. They opened the 1st weekend of november last year. 2nd to open in the east(the first just set up a small trail or some shit. cataloochee had more terrain open).

ah i don't wanna think about skiing, ive been getting depressed about it lately...

lemme go kill myself now.

And Locally for me, it'll be Thanksgiving Weekend.

Holiday Valley always has that for their target, and usually meets it.

woodbury ski area in connecticut was the first place open in the east last year. they usually open late october or early november

how the hell does a mountain in nc open before my home mountain in vt? it must get really cold in the appalachians (sp?) if thats where that resort is. thats sick though, 10th of nov.

yeah in the mountains there they got a much higher elevation than say upstate new york so then can make snow earlier cause of the colder temps

Unfortunately I've heard this is absolutely NOT going to be the case this year. Due to the new management they are running a much shorter season this year. Planning to end skiing by late April!!! So weak.

wow, in 92/93/94 they had some dope fucking seasons. i soo wish killy opened October 1st, that would actually be one of my dreams. thats just nuts

id give anything to have a season that goes till late april.

you guys have no idea how lucky you are haha.

Ha, my season ends april 1st. I'm just saying, like last year I was gonna go mid-may but they ended up closing about the first week of may. Now they're closing at the end of April. Just stupid when you have so much snow and put so much effort into making it all.

I really hope that is miscommunication, because that is straight-up shitty and lame.

HA! right. i dont consider WA open until its got its park up, so like febuary haha. but trails like prob early december. got a mad late start last year i think it was december 10th?

excuse me? they opened novemeber like 23th last year. got ya dates wrong, you must be reading the bullshit signs all over the mtn that are 10 years old

wachusett could open real early if we have a few col days. they have some of the best snow making on the east coast. they can cover the entire mountain in 72 hours.

cat and app are gonna be the first in the east open.

haha losers above the mason dixon line cant do shit with their cold weather cuz theyre all too greedy to open early

usually killington opens around thanksgiving ish but i think its gonna be later cause i heard theyre under new management. check that though, theres a good chance im wrong

except the fact that 7 springs has the best considering the man who owns it was one of the designers of the "snow maker" or whatever you wanna call it. yeah i claimed that. i have his reserved parking sign too bitches!!!

true, but how deep of a base would that be? not that i'd care id ride it anyways. i plan on going up when they have lil patches of snow blown and setting up a rail or two
