East coast, how wide is too wide?

Looking for a park ski, have demo'd Bdogs which I hated and 101 playmakers at Killington after that big storm. Normally I'm in Pennsylvania. I like doing glades as well when I can but there are no glades down here and this season we got our first snowfall of over 1" in two years. The playmakers also come in a 91 but I feel like that would be too close to what I already have? (87mm AR7s and 88mm enforcers). The other skis I'm looking at are All Plays at 98mm, Icelantic Nomad 95s, Fischer Nightstick 95s, and the Departs, which are 106mm wide at 180cm. Realistically, how wide is too wide? Is that even a thing? I'm hoping to spend a couple of months next season in New England, but it's not like powder is all that common there either.

No idea how to edit the post. I feel like generally a skinnier ski would be less stiff and therefore easier to butter, but a wider ski provides a better base for rails?

Not true at all, generally the skinniest skis in brand lineups are the competition skis so hella stiff, but there are for sure exeptions like bdogs, wets and playmakers. In my opinion 95-100 is golden for park skis but there sure are people rocking 110+ in park.

I daily ride Vishnu Wides lmao. It’s not too much until you cross into that 110+ underfoot territory.

check the arv 100, sounds like it would fit well in your quiver. i’d say anything under 110 is not to wide for east coast, wide skis are super fun and especially if they are alittle stiffer you will have plenty of grip on the hard pack if they have camber.

I'm rockin Jeffrey 102s and Koala 103's in West Virginia with zero problems, but I'm pretty tall. They feel excellent on rails and still carve pretty damn well. Wouldn't personally go above mid 100s; Vishnu Wide or Salomon Depart would be the absolute widest skis I'd consider for skiing locally.

How tall? I'm 5'9 175lbs but maybe I'll slim down some this summer.

Tbh didn't even know there was skiing in WV

I know a lot of people riding 104s on the east coast, wouldn't go much wider though because other than looking cool it actually starts to get in the way of stuff
