East Coast. How bad was yesterday's rain fall?

Planning a trip to Killington for Saturday looks like they may get 4-8 Fri into Sat. Anyone have first hand account or at a nearby mountain know what conditions are realistically like? Thanks
 
in Ottawa we got 49 cm (almost 20 inches) of snow yesterday. Great light snow too. Set a record for largest snowfall in a day for Ottawa in recorded history. Night skiing last night was fantastic.
 
Gore and Whiteface both got about 4 inches of snow, quarter inch of ice, then about an inch of rain. Whats left of the snow is practically cement.
 
I'm at Jay rn. Rained almost all day yesterday, tons of wind. Branches all over the place and most of the snow melted. Today it's below freezing, so all the rain turned into ice. There's a lot of people because it's vacation, but conditions suck. If it snows 8 inches, it'll be great. If it doesn't, it'll be terrible.

hope sunday river is good next week but it sounds like every resort needs over a foot of snow to be "good"

lets just chalk it up to winter being over. bring on the warm temps so i can just put the boat back in the water.

side note.. selling my bacons and mordecais as they were only used once each this year....
 
We just got so much fucking snow, but tomorrow we get 15mm of rain, its very stupid. If it was cold it would be 20cm of snow...

I'm heading up tomorrow, skiing all weekend. If you're around then HMU, misery is better with company
 
places like tremblant, st sauver and even camp fortune in Gatineau got 40-50cm yesterday, record storm

Its east coast hardcore real stuff man. seeing things from the bottom just makes the view so much better from the top. Don't give up, theres been years just as bad

Le Massif got about 10 cm then a ton of rain. I imagine St Anne and Stoneham would be similar. If you have a choice then furthest I'd go from Ottawa is Tremblant. We really did luck out on this storm and got far more than anywhere else.

Whiteface was pretty bullet proof today. In 2 days it went from -20 to 45 and raining. 4-8 would be nice.. the east is definitely due for this season
 
If I can ski on snow then I am not complaining. I just got some new Liberty's that I am hyped as fuck to try out and honestly I just love skiing I have given up on hoping for conditions that we want because its still skiing and I still love this shit. Back when the mountains weren't open is a different story but jesus fuck I hate how NS has tons of threads about waiting for snow and when the mountains open, then they open and there are more threads bitching about the shitty conditions. Be content that you can ski man I have friends that had to move with family out of skiing areas and they are suffering down south where they dont even see cold weather. Just be happy that its still winter and we can slide down mountains
 
In my area of NH it was down pouring for a while, we got like 2 inches of snow then it went to shit. Its so damn annoying since it was in the negatives last week and it never snowed until the warm weather came back. Luckily this weekend is gonna be warm so I dont ski on ice and then next week is packed with a few days of snow, perfect Feb vacation weather.
 
up here in maine it rained for a good chunk of the day, but both sunday river and the loaf still made a net gain of like an inch of snow.

I was at the loaf yesterday morning and it was pretty fuckin windy, had my skis literally ripped out of my hands at one point. Sunday river recovered from the freeze overnight pretty nicely today, a couple more days of grooming and everything should be skiing like normal
 
Maine mountains received 5 inches of snow and an inch of rain. Followed by a freeze that has made the mountains skating rinks

thanks for the response man...Fuck that sucks, but im going with the family so not gona complain. Im usually at Tremblant every sunday, so im stoked for that!
 
Any mount snow locals in this thread? I have a trip kind of booked for march 14th, I can still pull out of it without losing money. How fucked is it there?
 
Southwest PA. Warmed up a little last week, luckily we dodged the rain. Afterward it cooled down a lot. Everything was iced over completely until like Sunday when we started to get some snow. We got a good amount last night. But it's supposed to be 40s and raining the next few days.

I thought I was a legit post because they did get rain haha, but snow definitely followed. Classic east coast


It will probably be crusty but I bet you can find some drifts around the part of the mountain near JFK.
