I find that frontflips are the easiest flip, but those are lame as hell. For a backflip just find a jump with a lot of lip and a landing that is a little flatter than usual to learn on.
Do them on a trampoline first, then try them on skis. It's the exact same thing for both, you just have boards on your feet for one. You just have to pop hard and keep looking back because if you give up halfway through, you're in for some pain.
Swimming pool. Just stand on the diving board or edge of the pool with your back to the water and go for it. Your first couple tries will most likely end up in under rotation, but eventually you'll get it.
I just don't think they look that good unless you can lay it out lawn-dart style. If you do that off a cliff, they're awesome, but if you just tuck up and roll off a jump they're pretty lame.
are you kidding, fronts are fuckin sick. i mean not like in a comp or video part, but if you want to something oldschool that needs balls, you gotta rock out with the front.
i can throw em into pools if i grab one of my legs to speed up the rotation. with the backflip on skis should i try to throw with my arms or just look back?
whatever you do, don't forget to pop hard and keep looking or you will land on your head, many people huck it banana peel slipping style the first time and dont pop
i tried a lincoln loop for the first time off a 10 footer my friends and i made at a friends house. i kept over-rotating the 3 and land on the left side of my body.
i can do gainers on a diving board backflips on a diving board backflips on a tramp i never really understood the whole pop thing im new to this and i want to throw a backflip any tips on not over/under rotating/ dieing???
personally i find misty flips to be the easiest, but that is just because i did them on trampolines every day for like 5 years...backflip is theoretically easiest as long as you just commit...if you do that you probably wont over rotate because you can spot the landing and speed up/slow down the rotation. If you are comfortable landing switch, try a misty.
i learned lincolns really easy on like a 8-10 ft table with a decent amount of kick. as for doin them when you get near the lip press down on your knees and pop up right at the top of the lip. well your coming up throw w/e shouldr ur gonna lead to tht side and then once your in the air use your legs to bring it around and finsh the rotation by spotting the landing. if it helps add a saftey grab
iv heard backs are easier than 3s, true? and i can do fronts on a tramp, no backs though, i want to try a front on skis but i dont know how much the skis will slow my rotation?
