Earth the warmest it has been in 400 years

Im fine with it.im not dead yet am I? Theres still snow right? Then no reason to worry. Plus by the time there is somthing to worry about Ill be dead
 
It affects earch region differently.

Global warming means coastal areas receive more precipatation while inland areas dry out.

So the mountian in the west (atleast on the leeward side) should be getting more snow while areas like the midwest get less.
 
the earth goes through these cycles, yes its warming but this isnt the first time. oh and where all these co2 emmisions are to blame for all this global warming, the reality is that they are at something like 100 parts per million in our atmosphere today, and there have been times when they have been in the thousands of parts per million. so yes global warming is happening, and we may be partially to blame, but its also the earths natural cycles happening.

While that is true...those cycles were extremly long ones.

This is a short cycle and the warming is going at a faster rate.

I really hope that it takes a turn for the colder side or otherwise i will have to move up with santa to see snow...last year was disappointing...we need snow
 
Im sure many people are under the "it won't happen in my lifetime" impression so they don't bother cutting back on their own polluting.

even so, who gives a shit? the earth goes through regular climate changes throughout time. just look at the ice age. that was a massive decrease in temperature, and then a massive increase back to normal. yes it's true that some human factors have helped this temperature increase, but it'll happen whether we like it or not. it's just the way the world works.
 
People wouldn't have their panties in a bunch if this seemed like a regular pattern. Since the industrial revolution the Earth has warmed up at an incredibly alarming rate. That sounds like a huge coincidence to me.

Face it, even though there is a normal cycle going on here, it would be plain ignorance to say that us humans have had/or currtly have no effect on whats going on.
 
CO2 emissions have really leveled off over the past decade and cfc's are almost completly gone. The reason why the earth is still warming because there is a significant time delay, i think like 50-100 year delay before we see the earth's temperature level off. Im not saying that were all set, but things are much better than they were thirty years ago.

no it wont..becasue once we get these "perfect cars and factory machines" to the point that we want and where almost everyone is using them, then the cycle will SLOWLY go back the other way. like if u pollute a lake and then all of a sudden stop polluting it, it wont get worse but it will slowly fix itself. same idea with the air. if we stop polluting now and in the future then the atmosphere will slowly heal itself. its sad to think that just becasue you probably wont see it get terrible in your lifetime you dont have to participate in trying to fix the problem. what about your kids and their kids?. you wanna make it shitty for them?. anyone who has said who cares is fucking rediculous

Global warming IS NOT that big of a deal. The earth is not some fragile thing that will break with just a few more greenhouse gases. The earth can recover. Humanity isn't even having a big impact. An average volcanic eruption emits more carbon dioxide than all of humanity has emitted through pollution its entire existance. This is a natural cycle, and it will even up eventually.

Also, The US has done it's part for limiting pollution. countries like china and india are producing much more pollution than the US. They aren't doing their part.

But the world does naturally go through heat cycles

global warming is a reality however the reecent heat has little to do with it

Because us humans sure as heck are adaptive, more so than any animal in the world.
 
Genetically we are not adamptive. We are one of the least adaptive actually.

The simplier the organizism, the easier it is to adapt. Human = not simple organisms.

Through science though we pretend we are adaptive and we have been lucky so far...but that can only last so long...
