Earth Hour a Total Bust in California

ok, time to defend myself since apparently, my statement against "earth hour" deserves a "facepalm". if you turned off your lights for one hour, and then turned them back on, go fuck yourself. you are the worthless one, not me. I have been raised by my family to only have lights on when they need to be on. f no one is in a room, keep the fucking light off! our house hasn't been a blazing dot on the map for twenty years, because we don't waste energy, and never have. we don't buy new cars every 3 years, and we don't need a ride-on mower to mow our quarter acre lot. i think earth hour is a pile of horse shit, because the majority of people who participate in it didn't care about the environment or conserving energy until two or three years ago when al gore, bono, and Toyota's marketing team said it was cool to do so. they won't care in two years when some cool new trend is around and their houses will be blazing lights 24/7 again. If I need a light on, its going to be on. If not, its off. I don't give a fuck what the person next door thinks. QED
