Hey Newschoolers, I'm looking for a way to make money this winter after school if I'm bored or don't have anything to do. I'm thinking I should shovel snow in my neighborhood with my buddies. Has anyone done this before? Should I post ads somewhere? How should I do this? Suggestions are also welcome, thanks in advance guys!

When I was younger I used to shovel neighbors snow. I knocked on neighbors doors and contracted myself out for a season. More neighbors will want to hire you if they are told you do a good job for a fair price. If you have a ride make a craigslist ad or try to get clients from the richest neighborhood in town, where you will be able to charge more. Don't ask the same amount of money for every sidewalk. People with houses on a corner will take way more time to shovel vs houses in the middle of the block. Make sure they know that you aren't on call and you can only shovel in evenings or early mornings if you like getting up early. The longer their sidewalk goes un shoveled, the more ice and packed snow you will have to scrape.

I've shoveld before, it's good money. Espically wen it's dumping, all you do is go up and knock on the door and ask.
