I'm trying to host a level 1 productions premier in missoula this year. on this forum I want to get ideas for an original set up/venue to host this shin-dig. Hit this thread up if you have a moment of genius or if you just want to show support for skiing in genral.jEA.snow is coming
 
uh.. maybe have live music after the movie, i know missoula has a thriving local punk scene and if thats not your thing im sure there are other bands out there
 
i think this is a great idea, except you might want to get a band that a lot of people will like, cuz i like punk and all but then you would reduce your crowed size.... but i would possibly go if you had one..
 
Do it! Level 1 always puts out good stuff. I would help, but I am in Tacoma, so that would be a bit of a drive.
 
also check with the university for a venue and if your having a realy hard time finding one mtpunk.com can be a good resource
 
If anyone goes to U of M here i am also trying to start the feeride club because there is nothing for skiiers or snowboarders here. The movie premier would hopefully go with the introduction of the freeride club.
 
good idea. even though I'm useless on the mountain, i'm in!

also, Mike Rogge used to put on premiers on camus in Urey. The seats suck and its creepy but it worked. I'll think about more good venues and get back to you.

but if you can get enough word out, something at the Wilma would be sick. so many people would turn out if you had the right advertising. i'll try to help but my internship is eating my life.

OH! if you can get it together ASAP, i'm sure ASUM productions would help you set it up for an outdoor movie in the oval.
 
2 years ago I premiered shanghai six in bozeman. We had trouble getting enough people to go to make money. Bozeman is not much of a jib ski community so if missula is at all the same dont spend too much renting anything.
