Earliest Mountain opening in the East

I was hoping Sunday River was gonna open for halloween again but i didnt go last year so i didnt know if they had any jibs or not

I know they are going to have some sort of jam on 11/29.

They opened on 10/31, but then closed again right

yea im so pumped the temp. is getting down to mid to low 30s now on some nights, it should be a early winter. I also just hit up whaleback's jib harbor which was defffff. worth the $8 and drive. i suggest to everyone to go to the next one

i dont know about the rest of the east coast but st sauveur always opens before everyone else around it

mount snow should be the first open, even if it's warm they have 251 snow guns installed and ready to go, i'll be on my bacons opening day

snow can be made at as high of temperature as 39, as long as the humidity is at 10%. Its all about wet bulb temp. Most resorts have to make their snow at above 30 degree temps in the fall.

rumor has it Big boulder is trying to open in late october but that wont happen mt snow is epic early season

actually, the closed for like 6 days... they officially opened november 6th im pretty sure

and sugarloaf was either the 5th or the 7th

Rumors say Boulder is pushing for the 1st, doubt it though. They opened the 11th last season, I say the 15th this season. I'm pretty positive that Mount Snow will pull off the 1st though.

sugarloaf was after. If my memory serves me right sunday river was supposed to reopen on the 9th but they pulled a sneakattack and opened a day earlier. I remember getting home from school on the sneak attack day, going to sunday rivers website, being like what the fuck and proceeded to run 9 stop signs to get to sunday river.

all the mountains around PA are pushing for really early this year but i think mt sno will def get november 1st ill prolly be up there for opening.

woodbury CT was first on Nov 20 2006 im pretty sure. beat killington by like a day lol. leave it to some schmuck in CT to blow snow the first night of freezing temps. i wish i went lol. southington probly wont open till around the 8th or so

It will prob be Mt Snow or Sunday River. but its been getting mad cold up here ( Plymouth, NH) at night. so im hoping some NH areas like Loon will get an early start.

yeah woodburys rope tow and 6 foot box should be open in just a few days. and tickets for their epic setup should only be about 60 bucks.
