EA Sports Petition to make a ski game

Even though i may have only 100 some odd posts, i dont think that should make a difference whether or not you should try and help with me and everyone else who wants a new skiing game thats more realistic than SSX On Tour and way better plot,graphics,and gameplay than old Johnny Moseley's Mad Tricks.

So my i dea was that if we get enough people to participate in this thread that maybe we could petition to get EA Sports to make a more realistic version of SSX. It doesnt have to be a mainstream game like Madden or NCAA, but as long as its published, wouldnt that be considered a sucess.

So please no hate or rants this is only an idea in progress but if everyone helps maybe it could possibly happen in a short time
 
i always wanted a skiing game somewhere along the lines of like Xgames snowboarding game for the PS2. that would be dankkk
 
I wish there was a game like that, but the market prob wouldnt be that good so i can understand why there isnt, still i wish there was one
 
jibberish for PS2, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, would be dope with better graphics and maybe a little faster gameplay so its more realistic.
 
ya we need a realistic skiing game

not one where you can do cork 10's off the ground

and ssx on tour just does not have realistic flip/spin combos
 
yea...if they made a ski version of skate that would be so sick or even a snowboarding game cuase i no that its more popular to most people but it would be so awsome if they did that
 
ya that game was really realistic, but maybe a bit too much. i would that game to have a bit more progression and levels.
 
apparently Enlighter stopped working on it cuz the forum is down but yeah consider me signed... my idea was to find somebody who knows alot about video game design and have them mod (a type of graphic modification and gameplay modification for a video game to acheive a new theme for the game) a version of amped two then distribute it somehow over the internet for download... but there would be obvious copyright issues unless we were granted permission or gave the money to the company cuz i know i would pay for a game like that.

that would be sweeter than guitar hero. like the characters would be simon dumont and peter olenick and tj schiller and all the other really good skiers and you could go skiing at real mountains like jibberish.
 
Probably not going to happen anytime soon guys. One of my best friends is high up at EA and we've talked about it. He says they've chatted about it before but there's just not enough of a market to warrant spending the serious cash money to produce it.

 
yeah amped 2 was absolutely perfect. SSX is fucking gay. i would never buy an SSX ski game that would just be horrible
 
I bet Jon or Simon would be so down to have his own ski game kinda like the tony hawk series. Like "Simon Dumont Pro Skier" or something like that. Since they are both getting into the videoblogs trying to get publicity, i think they would be so down to get even more publicity through their own game.
 
amped and amped 2 were soo sick. i dont like the ssx games that much. and amped 3 got super unrealistic and was made for pure mainstream money and if neone has played it they would know someone was on some serious LSD when they made it.
but id be down. realistic skiing game would be dope.

An Idea I have is make options in the menu of these video games that

would please more people. For example SSX, have an option between

realistic and arcade mode, were in realistic your spins would be a lot

slower, and no way you could even land tricks, if you were coming in

sketchy, then in arcade mode, it would just be as crazy as it is now.

A game like Amped, in the option menu, selected between ski and

snowboard. This way you could get a bigger group of people wanting to

buy just one game.
 
yeah if it would be like skate that would be sweet,  like one joystick to control your skis,  like you push forward and you nose butter, pull back and you tail butter, pull back or forwards, then move it around and you do butters with spins, pull back then forward quickly and you ollie, go forward then back and you nollie.  then the other joystick would  be for spins,  and just like skate, when you move one of the josticks in one way, you shifty that way and if you hold it, you hold the shiftie.  and depending on how you hold the jostick down you can do corks, rodeo's, and other flips.    

and like one trigger would be for grabs with one hand, and the other for the other hand, so if you want you can use both triggers and do double grabs,  and you could also use the joystick to determine where you grab on the ski, and the more you pull the trigger or the joystick, the more its tweaked.

and then if you could do like create a park and make your own rails and jumps and shit, and create a skier, use poles or no poles, choose how you want your style, and if the game just made their style way cool it would be sweet.  and instead of having like massive rails that are 100 feet high and as wide as your skis like they are in amped, have then normal size!!!  and then have the angle your looking at your skier, just like in amped,  close up and with a wide angle effect.  

be able to put sesh markers to session a feature,  have a sled so you can go into the backcountry and build any jump anywhere just how you want.

and also just like in skate, start out as like nobody and work your way up through competitions and rail jams and stuff.  or if your not into comps, like work your way through film companies and stuff.

i dont even think it would be that hard to make, though i dont know alot about video games.  it seems like all they would have to do is take skate, make all the levels on snow, turn the skaters into skiers, and obviously do some work with the controls and physics to make it more for skiing and then it would be the best game ever!!!! and they might as well throw snowboarding in it so more people would buy it.  though i think if it was just skiing alone, alot of people would buy it.  just skiing as a whole is more popular than snowboarding, park skiing isnt that big, but still its growing very fast, almost everyone knows about it and what its like,  lots of people that ski think its cool or want to try it.  so i dont think they would have any trouble selling it.

everyone should just email EA and ask them if they are planning on doing a ski game anytime soon, and if not, that they really need to.   and say your from different places and do different things.  like say you snowboard but just want to know why they dont have a skiing game yet.  or like say your just a normal person and your suprised that there isnt a skiing game yet.

 
i bet if skiing gets into the olympics they'll make one, and i mean real skiing not this racing and moguls shit
 
a great idea for a game would be something like amped 2 but with an option that allowed you to choose a skier or a snowboarder like in ssx but more realistic because ssx is really a shitty game in my opinion. this would allow a wider market (skier and snowboarder) and all that they would have to do is program a skier with a few different grabs and rail tricks into the game. i don't see why ea sports wouldn't add a skier into their next amped.
 
amped 2 is so tight, it sucks that amped 3 is so gay though, they went in the complete wrong direction. really disappointing. i think the reason that skateboarding caught on so fast was because you can market a 30 dollar tony hawk x games skateboard to every 8-18 year old in america, and they all think its cool at some point. you're never going to have that with skiing. everyone knew who tony hawk was when his game came out, if it was jon olsson pro skier, people would be like who the hell is that guy?
 
do any of y'all realize how many times this has been brought up? In fact over 4 years ago my first thread was about why Ea Sports hasn't made a skiing game yet. As you can see over the course of those 4 years we've gotten SSX and Jibberish. Things do not look good for ski version of skate anytime soon
 
Signed by me, the "Pro" series should make one it fits so well they have Tony Hawk, Matt Hoffman, Kelly Slater, how about any of the skiers.
 
basically take jibberish and combine it with the finer points, detail, and physics of Amped 2 and T.H.U.G. and it would be dope as hell. I would love to see this happen. SImon and/or Jon should get on that, they've got some dough.
 
If ea made a skiing game like skate i wouldnt even care if it had snowboarding in it, cause it would be ballin'
 
the only thing that is wrong with amped2 skiing version is that the physics engine is bad, because you over shoto every jump by 3-40 feet, if there was a way they could make ea's skate as skiing- because the physics are good, graphics are good, gameplay is good and the controls are good so if they could create ski game out of the things they made skate off of that would be the best game ever.
