i'm wondering what everyone thinks of the demo, i think its pretty sick, except i cant figure out how to do other grabs then melons or indys, and dont know how to do 3 flips.
 
left or right trigger then just experiment with the right stick. to do triple kickflips , do a reg kickflip but when you flick it up just hold it. i have actually done a quad flip in the bowl. kind of tricky
 
if u hold r and then b u will do a kind of christ air, and if u hold r and l and b u will land on ur butt on the board kinda like a street luge, and u can do it when ur just riding
 
yep. best demo ever easily. i have put in 20+ hours so far. im pissed I have to wait so long to get the full game
 
Anyone worked out the flips? I've done a few laser and 360 flips by just going crazy with the stick, but the only one I've worked out how to do consistently is the varial heel/kickflip
 
yea i cnat figure out any of the flips besides kickflips and shovits and 360 shovits. how do u do otehr flips?
 
best trick i've done is a quad kickflip 720. it doesn't seem like you can do more than 4 kickflips in the demo level.
 
ive played it, its pretty sick, i dont think you can do tre flips yet, you can do flips, like front and back, just hold R Trigger and press forward with the left stick off a QP
 
haha i like how the game was designed so that the controls for even simple basic tricks are really hard to figure out. thats what skateboardings really about, none of that quad kickflip-3flip-lazerflip-720-christ air-revert-manual-pivot to one foot backsmith bullshit. that all the nerds who dont skate seem to do.

it's just a little more realistic sounding, which is nice.
 
yeah i like that part. like when i played tony hawk i would try to make it somewhat realistic but it wouldnt work out.
 
same, but in some ways I play video games to do shit I can't do in real life. where else can I do a 1080 off the ground!
 
i'm addicted to the demo, it feels so much like actual skateboarding it's crazy. so far i have every flip trick pretty consistant except for hardflips, they are mad hard for me for some reason.
 
I played it for the first time yesterday at my friends house, and we both agreed that it trumps all other skate games to date. We think were gonna' buy it in September when it comes out.
 
Good thing microsoft added an extended two year warranty on 360's that get the "red rings of death" And Skate is fucking badass, the gameplay is amazing, minus the camera angle at times. And the editing is very fun as well, I will definitely be purchasing this game when it comes out.
 
you have to play around a lot with the right stick. i cant get these consistantly yet but the best way ive found to get things like 360 flips, 360 hardflips, varial kickflips and things is to first go right or left with the right stick then down then up(or off to an upward angle), but in a quick motion. mess around with stuff like that and youll find more tricks
 
im buying it too, but the really good game thats coming out is going to be......HALO 3. it will be better than all other shooters for at least the next 3 years. and gears of war 2 is going to be gay.
 
yeah well guitar hero and rock band arnt shooters, assasins creed i dont like, but the other two are cool. but halo 3 will still be better.
