Dynstar px 12s or 4frnt dead bolts what is more durable

i need to know because i had salomon 912 TI and they are a really bad designed binding

so i want some binding that i can ski for more then 2 years

I've had Rossi Axial2, which are like the dynastar px and I've had 4frnt. The deadbolts just recently cracked on me after 6 days of riding. The axials, after over 50 days on them were still operational. I'd say, rossi/dynastar over 4frnt.

i personally think dynastar and look and rossi are the most durable bindings on the market if you get the high end ones. the brakes can have problems but the actual bindin is way solid. i have a couple 4frnt deadbolts too and im not really a fan i think there kinda cheaply made for what they charge.

what do you mean by the "higher end ones?" all px12s are px12s. (i guess you could count the tis/higher din ones different but not really. also, i think anyone who has them would agree that the fks series is more durable.

what i was getting at was the difference between the axial and the p12 not the different styles of p12's. but ive never rode the fks's so i wouldentknow how durable it is.

Dynastar/look/rossignol bindings are the most durable bindings out there..hands down... the p18 and fks are all metal bindings near impossible to break unless it is relating to the ski brake because all of the look bindings have the worst brake set ups ever. I have had p12's, px12s, p18s and fks's and i have never had any problems with any of them except for the p12 dildo some times gets stuck and you have to stop on it....but my friend had the dead bolt vist bindings and the break just cracked of and then the toe peice just cracked...but my friend also is rough as hell on his shit

PX series bindings are crap. i hate them, they prerelease, and my friends and i have all broken them, if you want durable bindings pony up and buy some race series looks or rossis (FKS), or my friend has STH16s and is happy with them after breaking his shitty PX12 jibs. that or get lucky and find some of the old pivot bindings if you want, i never had any problems with my P14s.

pre-release?

one of two things are happening....1)forward pressure not set properly or 2)your DIN isn't set high enough

the bindings you are calling the FKS is no longer the race binding. all the world cup race bindings are the same design as the PX series.

I would never put anything but Look (Dynastar) PX series bindings on my skis, Look (Dynastar) Pivot series on my skis, Rossignol Axial 2 series or Rossignol FKS bindings on my list.

I repeat, the only good bindings are: Look PX, Look Pivot, Rossignol FKS, and Rossignol Axial 2.

4Frnt Deadbolts are made by Vist bindings, which are really crappy. I have never heard anything good about deadbolt bindings ever. My bro was straightlining a groomer on a pair of demos with the real binding on them. The binding released for no reason, he almost hit some trees, and it was all due to the malfuntion of the VIST bindings. I would never buy the Deadbolt binding, and that is probably why next years version is made by Tyrolia instead of Vist.

except the new race series has a shorter mounting zone, a different brake design, and a phillips screw adjuster for the forward pressure and forward mount zone, rather than a lever like the PX has, but other than that the Race (Freeride) bindings are the same as the PX.

The smaller mounting pattern and wormscrew heel make this an infinitely better heel than the px12. Thats not even including the full metal toe.

I totally agree, which is why I was telling those kids the difference between the PX12 and the PX Race (freeride), because they were claming it was the same, which it isnt

they didnt claim taht they were the same, just the same design (in the heel peice). its not a turntable anymore but it seems like a much sturdier binding than the px which is still sturdy

Maybe you misunderstood me. Yes, the heel piece isn't turntable anymore, but the shorter mounting zone, more metal in the mount zone and the turn screw rather than lever make it not the same heel piece as the 12 or 14 series. Yes it is now MORE SIMILAR, but not the same.

Next year there is a binding coming out which features the better heel piece of the 15 and 18 series binding with the lower quality toe piece of the 12 and 14 series binding. don't worry though, there will still be the kind there are now too...from what I understand.

So would anyone buy 4frnt dead bolts with the TYROLIA based binding or is it still as unreliable? I ask because I'm looking at some 2009 deadbolt 12s just wondering if anyone eles has had them and if i should get them or fks?
