give me your honest opinion on new tm's or the legend series, or has more helpful would be if anyone has been on next years? also lange boots opinions would be appreciated. thanks

I love all of my stuff, I have not skied the legends or any of nextyears stuff yet, but I really like the big troubles, they kill it on any terain, the TM's are good too, great flex that provides alot of pop, edges on them have held up fine, As for Lang boots, I can't really tell you how they are, becuase they will be different for each person and I don't know how you like your boots to flex.

i ride 05/06 tms, awesome ski. i love how the tip/tail are metal on the bottom, that way when if i happen to drag them i dont feel too bad

I don't think thats true, I am almost 100% confident that only the shape changed on the Tm's and I am preety sure there is no reason to make the legends stiffer,

Dynastar makes some of the best skis on the market.. they are always consistently made with a high quality and kick ass when you ride them. The big trouble, slays everything from park, to powder to groomers. The Legend is the best ski that has ever been made hands down. It is literally a dream ski for skiing all over the mountain. and the trouble maker is an amazing park ski that you can still hit groomers with.

As for lange boots, if they fit your foot they can be some of the best boots you have ever worn. I know people that swear their life to those boots.

in my opinion, the ride quality of trouble makers is prolly one of the best out there. that ski has SOOO much energy, its amazing, and at the same time, its super damp, so you can still rip on it, and it does not chatter. ive had them up to roughly 70 mph before, and they were very comfortable at that speed. that being said, they are a little heavier due to the horizontal lamination of the core than a Vlam ski of the same dimensions, and since the core is built that way, they loose their pop fairly quick (we are just talking about the "spring blade" cores here), and go dead. if you ride pretty hard, expect the ski to have a good solid lifespan of roughly 2-3 months before it starts to go dead. and by riding hard, i mean lots of tight transitions, butters, moguls, shit like that that severely flexing the ski.

if your the kinda guy who gets hookups and you arnt worried about them lasting multiple seasons, and just looking for a short time preformer, or are a lighter guy not really beating the shit outta your skis, the TM is an amazing ski. if your paying full retail and need to get some longer life out of them, or something, maybe a different ski would be a better choice. the TM is definatly a love hate ski. brand new, best ski made. period. after a few months of hard skiing, they suck. if you want more info on the cores and shit, and how it effects the ski, hit me up.

thanks a ton, i gotta ride them first for myself, but im being worked into a mtn rep job so i wont be using skis for more than a season probably, so wearing out quickly wont be a huge problem

yea no prob. like i said, youll be amazed at how they ski, its nothing like a normal Vlam core. way better. but they dont last as long. in my opinion, its almost worth it. if we sold Dynastar at my shop thats what id prolly be on.

I have Pro Riders and FR120 boots and love them both. I made myself ride my Mojo 90's a few days the past week, but the Legends are back on the car again for tomorrow....and maybe until they die. As for the boots, that's different. If they fit your foot they're great, but the best boot in the world is worthless if it doesn't fit.

I absolutely LOVED my TM's. But the edges are GARBAGE. i had to ripp off the entire left edge of the ski on both skis after just 1 season of skiing...I do alot of rails but I also have scratches and the edges held up rediulously well. My new favourite ski is the rossi scratch FS. I know its "overused" and "everyone has them" but that doesnt take away that they are an amazing ski. I have tryed many skis and nothing quite compares to the scratches for the value. The Butter flex is rediculously sick but solid for those backseat and switch landings, The price is absolutely amazing, about 300 CAN for brand new (check Ebay, Even cheaper), the construction is outstanding, edges are invinsible, strong lamination, light, responsive etc. The only downside to scratches is the top sheet graphics, usually they are pretty boring, but if you are like me and looking for a quality ski and you dont care that much about aesthetics than the scratch is for you. I actually found these scratch FS's at the Toronto Ski show with sick top sheets they are like red brick pattern with white and green, i dunno i though they were sick for scratch. Anyways, the TM's are an outstanding (cause they were designed by the best skier in the world: Mickael Descheneux)but dynastar cheaped out on the edge construction which I think is the most important part of the ski. So like someone earlier said, if you are looking for an amazing ski for one or two seasons and money isnt an issue, than get some TM's, but I would suggest Scratch FS personally.

TM's later than the 05 year are good, cause they fixed the edge blowout problem. and legends have just always been legends for a reason

edge problem was fixed like 2 years ago....

thanks for the scratch commercial too, i tried next years ghettos and they ski like an all mtn ski, have good pop off the tails, but dont butter well, didnt like them compared to my fuji's

so im getting an overall opinion here that dynas are the way to go if im only skiing them one season, which is basically the case

anyone wanna tell me about the lange fluid freestyle boots???

about the boots, you have to try them on. the thing with ski boots, is this: fit. the less modification you need to do to get a proper fit, the better. thats really all there is. flex, shock absorption, canting, forward lean, its all stuff that can be modded into any boot. i think anyone whose been skiing a good while rides thier boots off the shelf. i do soooo much shit to my boots, to dial them into MY feet and what i want from them. so, if those boots your lookin at fit you well, then they are great. but you absolutely need to try them on.

edge blowout problem is not fixed. after only lil less then 2 months on next years 07s both edges have started to separate underfoot and are cracked.....and i took them very easy on rails-no diasters or hard kinks.....the plate does nothing in my opinion. im goin to my local rep as of now to warranty em cuz they are pullin' out already and that should not happen.

it took me about 70 days on a pair to get any edge to rip out last season (including urban shit) so I'm not sure what your deal is. Perhaps you didn't detune them much (if at all), and I don't mean with a gummy stone, which doesn't do a damn thing.

The '08s have a very slightly different shape, mostly that they are wider in the waist (81). The edge reinforcement is larger. The tail is a bit softer than the '07s, but super lively overall and great for many, many things.

As for the boot, as said earlier, you just have to try them on. Boots are super tricky. This boot has a slightly wider last than the world cups and even the freeride boots, but it could still be too narrow, or something else may not be right. If they fit, then they're great. They've been great for me in the park and all mountain. But the last thing you want to do is buy a boot without really trying on a multitude of boots. Your feet, body, and ultimately your skiing, could suffer.

yea I was gonna say this. I saw his ski and they edge cracked on both sides and is pulling away from the ski, so they are doomed. how friggin hard is it to put in a slightly thicker edge. honestly.

^^ skierboy you coudlnt be more wrong my friend. I had the them detuned CORRECTLY by a my shop tech. Coudlnt be better detuned then you can get. ah i love proving people wrong.
