Dynastar Nothin But Trouble

I am looking at buying some '07 Nothin but troubles. Reading the reviews the '06's scratched REALLY easily and made the skis look like crap. Was it the same in '07 or did they fix it?
 
whats the difference between them and the TMs? they are the same dimensions and i think the contruction is the same too
 
The NBT's are a little more park specific.

I know it's just scratches but is it crazy bad or just little bad? I think I'll get them anyways.
 
NBT= stiffer, slightly cheaper core and poss different construction

TM= better core, better construction, better edges
 
If I sell them after this year and they all chipped up and look like shit I am not getting much for them.

Can they be mounted anywhere but center?
 
The Nothing but Troubles are the troublemakers with everything that made the troublemakers really fun skis taken out.
 
They aren't stiffer, they are softer than TMs and are garbage. It is super easy to tear up/bend in the edges and base. My bases are more epoxy and base welding than factory base. I don't know how Dynastar can actually release them as a park only ski with such shit durability.
 
The NBT are last years dynastars I think,

they may not have the spring blade either,

it either lastyears TM's or the older green tm's

the flex is great, duribility wise they are fine, sure the edges are a little weaker then other companies, but if you detune them properly you will be fine. Core duriblity wise they are great, and that is where the life of the ski comes from.

Yes, they can be mounted anywhere and they are softer then the Tm's not stiffer.

They are great skis and stop worrying about the fucking top sheet, you buy skis for how they ski not what you can re-sell them for.
 
The flex is good, but their durability is shit. I have had Line 1260 which are lighter and softer that are more durable. Detune will not help you that much. It is still unbelievable easy to hit a rail and bend the edge/base, much easier than any other ski I have had. I really don't know how they expected them to last a season of park. If you pay over $150 new, they are way over priced.
 
When I say detune I am not talking about a little gummy stone, I am talking about taking a file/rock/hard object and grinding those things until they are round. And you don't need edges to ski park anyway.
 
Even if you detune them to below your bases with a file they are still prone to bending/breaking/pulling out within 5 days of actual park riding.
 
you seem to be a huge noob yet an expert on the skis, all at the same time. you dont know if you can center mount them...come on. you know more about the skis construction than i do. and if you know its a shitty ski why are you asking us if its a shitty ski?

just something i had to say.
