Dynastar Big Troubles

I am thinking about getting some Big Troubles.

I am 5'9 140.

I was thinking of getting 176 and center mount them or maybe 1-2 back.

My current skis are scratch sprayers and are not so great in pow. I know that the BT's are the pow twin from dyanstar but how are they in the park? Would they be too much to throw around?

Idk if I should sell my other skis for some $$ towards these or if I should keep them for days with no pow and I'm just skiing park.

Thanks in advance.

i used big troubles center mounted last year as a park ski and they were super dope. They carve well and 92 under foot isnt super wide. I had a pair 4 back from true for pow and they were also super sick. Float so nice even in super deep snow. Its the perfect waist for an all around ski. And not super heavy but solid under your feet.

yeah, big troubles will be fine in the park 92 underwaist is nothing, the anthems are a 92 waist, siiick park ski.

I have them mounted at recommended and I don't know your skiing ability but they might be too much ski. The 176 might actually work, they are definately stiff and heavy but are great for all around, not so much a fun ski but more a ski to charge.

I ski them. Too stiff for all out park. Fine for big tables and stuff but not flexy and lively enough to be a lot of fun there. I love them all mountain but they're definitely more of an all mountain tool that you can take into the park, rather than the other way around.

For something a bit more fun, look at ARVs or Seths.

How does their pop/life compare to the Trouble Makers, one of the liveliest skis I've ever ridden?

They wont be my park ski. I will prolly keep my Scratchs. I just am thinking if all the pow is gone sometime before the end of the day or whatever can it ski in the park alright? I dont think I'm taking them on rails though, I have other skis

im 5'7" 125 and i have the 176 . i havent tried them in the park yet (only skied them on pow days so far) but i think it would be too much ski for me in the park

Yeah they should be good then. Thay's pretty much how I used them when I lived in Whistler (not used them since though). I got them thinking they'd be my one ski for everything but ended up getting park skis too so I kept the Big Troubles for everything else and would take a few hits in the park occasionally too. If I was getting a new all mountain/powder ski I'd go wider though, like 105. Don't get me wrong they still float nice in deep stuff. I mounted mine on recommended which is about 6.5-7cm back and they were pretty nice there. I definitely owuldn't want to be further forward for powder.

And whoever asked about flex compared to Troublemakers they're a good bit stiffer. Not as lively, quite damp but nice and smooth.

How much do thye weigh? The Dynastar site doesn't say. If you dont know what the actual weight is is there a ski it compares closely to in weight?
