Dying Crowbars?

I know there's been a couple of threads but not too indepth.

What is the process step by step?

Can you do the straps too?

I want to do frame, riggers, and strap.

i dunno how to do it though.

the frame would prob need to be sanded down then sprayed with some kind of enamel paint because there plastic... and you could prob just dip the straps in tie-dye dye in whatever color you want

I've never dyed goggles before, but I have dyed lacrosse heads, which are a very similar material.

I used a whole box of Rit dye, boiled a pot of water, dumped the water in a stainless steel sink, mixed in the dye, and put the plasic in the near-boiling water and take it out whenever you want. The heat of the water will soften up the plastic so the dye can stain it well. Keep checking it every few seconds, so you can see how much it's getting dyed. With a sink full of blue dye, you could dye something baby blue, royal blue, or navy blue, depending on how long you leave it in.

i have dyed  3 pairs crowbars

as far as i know you can only dye white goggels,

1. buy "RIT" dye at freds or some craft store

2. fill a pot with water and get it to boil add dye, the more dye the deeper/brighter, the less dye the lighter/paler

3. dont put the goggels in the boiling water let it cool down for a few minutes, and turn the heat on real low to keep it semi warm/hot

4. add frame and soak for a while until desired color is obtained

5. add outriggers and keep a close watch on them, cuase they can boil over quick, id say like 5 minutes max and if the plastic starts to bubble get em out of there cause then youl have to peel them and start over

6. the strap dyes quick cause its cloth so ya, check my thread for ideas/how it turns out, its the bobby jackson from 3B sale

just pm for questions
