Dyeing jacket help

title says it. im being a cheapass this season and dont want to buy a new jacket. i just want to dye my current one black. i dont care if you think its going to ruin the jacket i just want it black. i have tried 2 packs of powder ritt dye in room temp water in a tub and it did absolutly nothing. Any tips or certain dyes to help me get my desired results? plus k for answers

if it's water proof I think you'll have to ruin the waterproofing to be able to dye it. In which case your jacket will be useless. I would suggest you don't do it
