Dyeing full tilts to look like red wallisch ones from last year

You cannot dye things to be lighter. Only a darker color. White is about as light as colors get so I would say you're shit outta luck there.

i dont care if they look boring thats what the boot fitter fitted me for and they fit my feet

if you bleached the boot first to make it a lighter color and then dyed it red it might work, but theres a good chance it will just end up turning the boot brown .

OP has hit the nail on the head. Nobody cares how good you are, they only think your are cool if you wear hotdoggers and XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL Jiberish.\

tl;dr- opsafag

idk i think im going to just bleach the toungs white and then get some t wall cable covers i think the black and white will look good

the bleach will weaken the pastic and may cause it to crack why are you so worried about the look of your boots especially if they are covered up by your pants most of the time anyways

First off, this thread is a massive anal bead.

And LOL 6 is stiff? Do you weigh 65 pounds? 6 flexes are extremely soft. Soak yourself in piss.

If making your boots look cool is easy (it is), takes up time that could really only be spent masturbating (it's not ski season anymore), and doesn't cost an arm and a leg (25 bucks or so), why not do it?

To OP, you cant dye them if they are black, but you could:

1. take them apart (be careful to not strip the screws, and keep the left and right parts separate)

2. sand the pieces you want to paint

3. paint them with grey or white primer

4. let dry and lightly sand the primer coat

5. do a coat of red

6. lightly sand the red coat

7. do another coat of red

8. use ultra fine scuffing pads (replacement for 0001 steel wool) to buff the last coat of paint

9. put your boots back together (pretty easy to figure out where everything goes)

10. look like a boss (or probably just a wallisch impersonator)

If the spray paint starts to chip, which it probably will, your boots will look pretty beat up by the end of the season. The good news is that spray paint is remarkably easy to remove from FT boots, and if at the end of next season, you are bored with your boots again, you can start the process over.

I'm currently working on a write up for spray paint removal, dyeing, and restoring FTs in general. Hopefully that helps some people out, because I've searched NS, TGR, and Google pretty intensively, and the information available on boot customization is scattered and unhelpful at best.

If this was just a troll thread because you want to make fun of kids who dye their boots. . .

the amount of evidence leading me to believe you are 12 is astonishing.

-if you were fitted for classics you could have just as easily bought the hot doggers, they're the same boot, different colors, different flex tongue.

-just the fact that you want to go from a sick looking boot to the god awful red color scheme AND buy the retarded tongue covers which do nothing but add weight and make you look like an ass hat.

-you're going to try to bleach your boots? bleach?

-you think you can dye black to be white/red
