Whats a good free program to rip dvds for my iphone

I just rip all my ski movies to my ipod using xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum. i got it from DC++ with a crack but its rips to pretty much any format including m4v for istuff

If you dont want to deal with torrents you can just handbrake. I dnt have an iphone but i am sure the videos are the exact same as for the ipod video. You put them in itunes and sync them. Get HandBrake. Its free and can rip to IPOD formats (.mp4). Works great and I love it!

Handbrake is definitely the way to go for DVD to any portable device.

hand break then drag the file into itunes

if what you tried hasn't worked
