use dvd decrypter to rip the files from the dvd, (set it to IFO mode) and then AutoGK to convert the VOB files to xvid, that will make it playable in Windows Media Center or Player
i'm pretty sure handbrake can do it. THat's how i ripped dvds to put them on my ipod. Avaible on limwire and probably many other fine file sharing sites.
