DVD Studio 5 help (playing DVD's on windows & macs)

I'm having a little trouble working DVD Studio 5 so I'm hoping someone on here has the answer...I've been burning discs from my macbook pro using this program the files are coming straight from FCP in .mov format and then I'm burning them onto disc (-R i think this may be the problem) with a dvd menu etc.The problem is it seems to only work on Mac's which kind of sucks, doesn't even seem to work on a dvd player. Is there some settings i need to change or is it choose one or the other (mac or PC) can't have both?

I have done some research you can choose either DVD-video or DVD-Rom i just don't know how to change it from video to ROM?
