who makes the best real dvd players?...i bought an Emerson digital dvd/vhs recorder at wal mart for sale down to 170$ and i got the shakira cd for mommy and medal of honor front line ps2 for me

there were others but that was the cheapest

ps2 is not the best dvd player, it uses this proprietary single lazer that makes the audio suck. Progressive Scan is where it's at.

progressive scan players' price will drop dramatically this coming winter.

motorola is coming out with a brand new chip set that will drop the overall dvdp price.

Overabundance of progressive scan players, also, the technology is getting much cheaper to mass produce. That causes your price drop.

haha yeah beta.. im personal to the sony brand myself, not hte ps2, but their standalone dvd players, they are awesome. you pay a little extra for the sony name but with most products its worth it ('cept for their low end car amplifiers, dont bother)
