im am sure this has been asked many time but i just got a digital camcorder and i want to be able to edit videos sometime soon. i dont have a firewire hook up yet but i am going to get one, i think i can get one for like 30 bucks. i dont know what software to get i was looking at pinnacle and some other stuff but i have never used any of them.

what is the best software for the cheapest?

i like pinnacle, it is simple to use. Adobe premier is really good, but is more advanced and will cost you more unless you get a free download from somewhere.

premiere is great... try looking it up on www.filesearching.com. I know they have a 'free version'
