Duty on skis?

I'm planning on ordering skis online and I don't want to have to pay alot on duty. So can anyone tell me how to discover how much duty will cost?

taxes? where are you buying from (what country?) i find that most US stores have tax included for online orders, mail in's and store orders are different thoguh, around 8%?

just get the store to mark the package as "gift" and you wont get any duty
