Seriously... have you seen any of the city competitions? Those jumps are really small any anywhere you see Tim throw something huge its in a jump thats three or four times bigger than a city jump.
He would not stand a chance, what-so-ever.
And I don't think he have an own style actually, it's just all basic. And I don't thing anything he does is steezy.
Prove your insufficient intelligence by saying Tim is a good rider for a comp like the KoS when there are people like Lasse Nyhaugen tryin' to get that video-qual. spot.
hahaha you have to be fucking kidding me! durtschi throws it down...ya he doesnt have the duplicated "park steeze" that everyone has come to expect... however he knows how to throw it down anywhere he goes. especially where there is actual consequence and reward for your every decision.....to me king of style is someone that can ski in the park and throw the fuck down on any cliff or back country booter. simple as that. lets all remember this contest is on a wooden scaffolding....
Im not saying Durtschi aint good or anything, it's just that his way of riding is not fit for city jumps at all in my opinion. Many skiers are not.
And yeah, he's pretty much the best in his category - no question 'bout that.
But he still don't have what it takes to win the Peak Performance King of Style. He simply don't.
And I'm still not hating on Durtschi. Few people can do stuff off cliffs and huge jumps that he can, but he's not fit for small jumps like in Stockholm where it's pretty much all about throwing a dub 10 or 12 on a small ass jump and steeze it out with a grab and not fail the landing (it's not how I would want city comps to be but that's the way it is).
Voting Durtschi for KoS is wasted imho, vote him for JOSS-11 instead.
This actually makes perfect sense to me. Durtschi isn't one of the spin to win park types, although he's one of my favorite skiers. He just wouldn't be in his element hitting a city jump.
he made and released an edit, so clearly he thinks he can compete. im gonna hafta agree. He would def NOT be the runt of the litter if he got in, but i see your point on jump size.
WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT A FUCKING RIDEAWAY??!?!?!?! ITS A FUCKING RIDEAWAY, LOOK AT THE TRICK NOT WHAT THE PERSON LOOKS LIKE ONCE THEY'RE ON THE GROUND. STRAIGHT UP FUCK KIDS LIKE YOU. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE THINK SKIERS ARE FAGS.
I see your point but at the same time. doing what he does in the BC is way harder than on a perfect park jump. So if he can do what he does so well in the BC he would have no problem doing in on a mam made jump
woah... overreaction. i actually dont usually give a fuck about rideaways, i was just showing that kid that durtschi, while he might not be known for it, has style. tim is my favorite skier. by far, and not for how he rides away, but what he does.
