Duncan Adams pipe run was beyond legit, beyond stomped.

Not to take anything away from the other 4 that finished ahead of him. Jossis run was clean and stomped. 3 dubs in one run is pretty ridiculous, especially the dub cork 12, hats off to rolland, but id rather watch someone who looks comfortable spinning both ways, lots of switch hits, and more grabs than a safety knee tuck, mute, or .0005sec grab/fake.

he did that zero spin and i immediately was like, THATS AWESOME. i cant even imagine how hard a zero is in pipe

Damn right, that zero spin was sick as shit. Haha during one of his runs my roommate was like "damn this guy sucks" I didn't even bother trying to explain otherwise...

Two years, he will be unbeatable. He had some serious skill and hes only like 17. Give him a year to learn and perfect the double cork, he'll stomp everyone.

duncan kills it in the bc, on open alaskan faces, park shoots, pipe, everywhere. his refresh bonus section is my favorite edit of all time. he's going to be the best all around skier in the game soon enough

should have scored higher. I think its obvious that he had the best style and what not but he also had an insanely technical run. All but one of his hits he either landed switch and or took off switch. On top of this his amplitude was right up there with everyone skiing forward. I thought his run was the true progression of night - switch run with style and amp.

His first two hits were soo bad ass, and the rest of his run did not lack at all. I would've liked to see him on the podium.

You're either joking, or know nothing about how insanely technical and difficult that big of a switch straight air is.

He was rewarded for it too. 84.00 in a run with no doubles and a straight air shows how clean and stomped that run was, props 2 mr adams

If "A-game" refers to a double side-flip knee grab than I see where you're coming from. Duncan's run was a breath of fresh air and something that I've been waiting to see in major pipe competition for a long time, and I'm glad the judges recognized it. Great contest all around.

Yes he did not do a double, but question is....could the rest of the riders in the comp do the things that he was doing? First hit, reg to fackie and then zero spin, with a few other switch hits later in the run. If that is as hard as doing doubles(and i have no clue) shouldnt that get rewarded as much as doubles??????? I think his run is soooo legit and IMO only a very few riders in the world could do what he was doing with as much style and ampltitude. He averaged 14 feet out on 7 hits. Picking up where stefan thomas left off. ST never got scored that high so I am hoping the judges are starting to realize that it does not have to be a double fest and that his tricks were super hard.

It's pretty simple, Rolland had mad technical tricks. 3 doubles, it blew my mind. As far as style goes Duncan was #1 though. That's how he was able to throw a straight air, a zero spin, no doublez, and still land near the podium. This is what people are talking about in this thread, EVERYONE saw and appreciates Rollands run but for the x-games to judge style like this is a huge step forward. Same with Casabon in slopestyle.

why the hate ?

why do people have to choose between kevin or duncan ?

if you truly love skiing you will love both runs.

completely different, but both sick as hell.

you 13 years old need to stop acting like fascists, and be open minded.

ducan adams has the sickest style and his run was eye candy.

on the other hand kevin had a massive run with stomped grabed doubles and a huge wow factor.

both are progressing the sport.

i dont see why people freak out about skiing becoming aerial. you need to get your head out of your ass.

B dog placing 4th on slope, duncan 5th on pipe is awesome.

skiing has so many aspects and that s why it s awesome. and no one says you have to choose.

i like double corked 1620, and i love delorme segment in refresh. stop acting like you cant like both.

you dont understand skiing. Rollands' run was dope dont get me wrong. but to say that duncan was not skiing up to x games standards is fucking ludacris. Ihaven't seen duncans run yet, but from what i understand it was epic. smooth, style, technical. Skiing (even though it seems like it) is not just about doubles. im stoked the judges recognized this. 5 is a banger

I saw it live, and I saw it again multiple times.
His dubs were not all grabbed, and I dont personally like his style. Plain and simple. He has tech tricks, and mediocre style.
I dont think you truely understand the difficulty of a Zero spin in the pipe. If you think that isnt A-game material, then why is everyone so stoked? Have you ever ridden pipe or done a zero?
I am not saying Duncan is better than Kevin, or vice versa, I think that both are sick in their own right. Kevins is huge dubs (grabbed or not) and Duncans is style.

The man is doing you a solid with that kind of advice. Nobody gives a damn about free speech when your spamming up this thread stoked on Duncan's style.

Oh buttongwinett, thanks god your the only one stupid enough to say shit like this. Duncan's run was sooo smooth. If you like to see double flips knee bents, then watch olympics my friend!

one dub wasn't grabbed, and it was an un-natural dub. only person in the feild doing that. good call.

either way, both runs were sick.

he was looking over his left shoulder so he basically couldnt see anything the whole trick... so gnarly

10 times harder than everyone elses run, and stomping it like a motherfucker. 3 dubs in a run almost made me cry tears of joy. I didn't even think it was possible.

i think what you guys are calling the zero air, is actually a switch 180.
and the first hit, is infact his zero air. people have technically done zero airs in the pipe for a while. I've done one. Just going forward and landing switch.
but a switch 180... now thats just gnar.

thats an air to fakie. he also did a zero. take off switch, land switch, but never spin. GNAR
