HOW THE FUCK DID THAT LITTLE MIDGET WIN?!?! Yeah, 22 feet out ain't bad, but that was on his FIRST RUN. On his winning run, all his landings were sketchy, he only did like 3 spins, and NO INVERTS. Now how does that beat Jon? I don't understand. Jon should have won, then Tanner, then Crichton (his 2nd run was dope). The X Games judges are majorly messed up. I'm pretty pissed right now. Jon got robbed.

honestly i was pulling for dave and jon too, but dumont was sick, after falling twice before he still pulled it together and went huge and SPUN to win!!! haha, but seriously it was an impressive win, he deserved it

hell yeah, Olsson should of won with his style, smooth landings, great tricks, amplitude...all dumont had was an extreme air..while cool, shouldn't jave won just for that.

ya i agree jon shouldve got first, then peter, then phil for being such a trooper, then simon in fourth. tanner deserves 10th because hes a douche and he has already got a gold he doesnt need to win again! he already stole olenicks glory in the slopestyle he needs to graciously sit his ass down and watch quietly with his redneck mom

Olenick shouldn't have been higher than 6th. Marion should have beaten him. The sad thing with that cocky kid is that he actually thinks he deserves what he placed!! At least Tanner, CR and Olsson have the brains to realize Crichton should have been in first after his 2nd run!

 
The X-games are a made for TV contest. I bet the US open will be a better judged event. No disrespect for the athletes but I agree the juding was totaly off. Dumont's runs were sick though. I thought he stole the show even if Jon's final run was a little better.

all the skiers know that the x games are all about how high you can get and not so much on the technical part. so if you want to win the x games you have to play the game and suck it up and throw down a run with huge airs. Jon adjusted his run so that he could go bigger and simon... well he is just insane. Look at the results they placed 1 and 2. We all know simon has the technical bag of tricks that everyone else has but simon knew that to win he would have to play the game of the x game judges and go big. he took the nine out knowing that he couldn't throw it big enough to impress the judges. I agree that Jon and some of the other guys had a more solid run technicaly but this is the x games. If you want to win go big.

 
Dave C. should have ahd gold, Dumont silver, Olenick bronze. But hey shit happens. Dumont went bigger then anyone else there....22ft is beyond me...

I agree simon's run was not impressive. His 3 up top was nice but most of his other hits were grabs. Come on you need to do more than that to win. Jon got robbed and simon's run was not that good.

 
i guarentee the only reason why dave didnt win was because his fucking ski came off if it weren't for that he would have won. His last run was insane if he had pulled it together he would have destroyed simon fuck.. its so bad. crighton had the ability to win hands down.

Wow, so true. 1 or 2 big hits, and whammo, x-games gold. It seems to me that all you need to do in pipe to win nowadays is simply go bigger than everyone else, whether youre run is good or not. For example:

Tufflemeyer-1st at WSI with a dirty run, only cause of his amplitude (didnt deserve it).

Shoya-1st at global x with a good, not great run, which included a ridiculously huge flatspin (didnt really deserve gold).

Candide-First at x-games pipe last year with possibly the biggest run ever(he deserved it).

Simon-Obviously gold this year, because one hit in a previous run was 22 feet out (didnt deserve gold).

jon olson was super styleeee. but dumont had big air. crichtons flat five was mind boggle-ing. olenick was solid and tanner didnt place. ha ha ha

Yeah Dumont is nasty, Jon is nasty, tanner is nasty they are all nasty I love it when we are pissed that a skier won because he boosted 22 feet out but didn't throw a 1080. Look at how far our sport has come! Lucky for us skiers we know that comps don't show who is the best or not they just show who was on that night. Props to Simon for the gold and props to all the skiers who have brought skiing into the spotlight

I agree that Tanner got robbed! Olenick got 91 for a run where he didnt do any technical tricks until the end. Tanner should have been in third and Olenick in like 5th or 6th.

it all depends on how scaled the judging was, it seems obvious that amplitude was judged higher than anyother aspect. thats why dumont won.

yeah the whole times I was hoping dumont would stick his mad airs cuz holy shit thats amazing and actully very technical. but jons run was so smooth styled out and flowed like water. he should have won but oh well what r ya gona do. but Simon dumont is the fuckin kid!

Dumont's run was sweet, but after looking at Jon's again I would say its close. I liked Jon's no-flail style, but Simon certianly boosted way out of the pipe, kept up real good speed and had good spins. He didn't have any inverts which is uncommon, but overall Simon and Jon were real close.

seeing as no one else went over 16 feet and dumont was about 18-20 out about every hit i think he deserved it. u gotta know that amplitude makes everything look good to the judges and he was the only one with it

Dumonts amplitude was ridiculous but he didnt have that many technical tricks. Jon definitely was way smoother and had some crazy tricks. He shouldve taken gold in pipe and in slopestyle... maybe the jib game was lacking but what happened to his 9, switch 9, and switch 10. A 7 off the money booter just doesnt cut it ... sorry Tanner. Anyway i also think Crichtons run was insane and like the announcers said, sticking that ten w/ one foot should have added points not taken them.

All in all, that was the most intense competition i've ever witnessed, and i was totally fired up to see skiers throwing down so hard and looking so good. I agree some of final results were a little unexpected, but whatever, that's what you get with a judged sport. Bottom line is that it looked fun as hell and i am so stoked on the whole competition, skiing is the most ass kickin sport ever, so results don't bother me that much. All those guys deserved some kind of medal for being so progressive and amazing.

Ill give him credit but i think he shopuld have gotten 2nd not quite 1st i just wasnt hyped by his run.
