Dumonts or suspects ??

i have a choice of 2 new skis out for 2010, and i cant decide which ones to get ? can anyone give me some tips ??

well it kinda depends there both very similiar skis both are good for park so its really up to you. I believe the dumonts are flexier but not sure really go to a local shop and look at them and ask someone who works there about them

The dumont has the black base which is faster than the suspect base other than this and the edge armour x2 I think they're both the same. Personally Id save the money and get the suspects..

i think that they are more or less the same ski, with different graphics.

might be wrong tho. the suspects didnt hold up for many people really well. delam and edge rip out after like 1 week of ridin. id say, go for other skis.

They are not the same ski, the Dumont is softer and has double edge armour and the Suspect only has single edge armour. The single edge armour didn't work last season, but the double edge armour seemed to work. Also, I'm pretty sure the Dumont is lighter and poppier. I'd go with the Dumont - it's an all around better ski (especially from a jumping stand point - I see a lot of Salomon Pros with the Dumont on jumps) and they held up better last year.

The dumont has a stiffer tail and 2x edge armour. I would go with the suspects and save some cash.

I've seen so many pros rockin the Suspects on jumps. Sammy Carlson rocks em, Martini. Just go watch EDIAS.

If this is what it comes down to, I would say get the suspects to save some money. Otherwise I would say get something different. I personnally think that edge armor does more harm than good. If you do hurt an edge, the armor will rip the other edge. I say get the Volkl walls. They are in between the prices of the suspects and dumonts and volkl makes great skis.

I didn't say Suspects weren't used as a jump ski - but in all the summer edits I've seen, more Salomon pros have been on Dumonts than Suspects on the bigger jumps (B.Brown, Moxham, Martini switches back and forth, Dane Tudor, John Symms, Michael Clarke, and obviously Dumont). Yes, I know that Suspects are a good all around ski (when they stay together), but I feel that Dumonts are constructed better (which is why they cost more).
And, I've seen EDIAS (I own it and I've watched it at least 5 times).
