was it before or after tanner?if it was after then it could easily have been avoided, if u just look at all the speeds of the skiers hitting chads, tanner sw/5d it a 53 mph..............dumont got towed in at 60 mph on a jump that was 35 feet shorter, they shouldve thot of that first..............................just thot id throw that up there

dumont didnt ask to get towed that fast..... thats what they calculated your speed had to be. the lip was like 20 times steeper than the lip on chads. more ups needs speed.

they towed everyone at 55. it just depended on the pull you took of the tow i guess..i guess he took a hard pull and got alot more speed.

it is not such a simple equation

you can have some idea about distance by knowing speed

but when your towed into a jump all bets are off...

i can the same table 20 times at the same speed and vary my distance due to how much pop, pre-jump, carve,..etc i do as i launch.

plus if you have ever wakeboarded or slalom skied you would know how much difference release from the handle makes

 
take note, simon was the first to hit the jump and that take off was also bigger then chads so they had to determine how much speed would be lost going up the take off. and also look at the difference of the jumps, the park city one sent you up alot higher while chads was more for length.

aahh fuck it, u guys are right, but still..y 60, i woulda been like 50 and he over shot it by like 100 feet

nope, you would have rather wanted to go too fast than too slow at first for sure. there was only about 10 feet of table top before tha landing, and it was just ice. he just held on to the rope longer than others and slingshotted himself really hard too.

why u comparing chads to simon chads is a bc booter soft snow not a big lip . simons jump is smaller and he crashed at like 8 in the morning when its like frozen u people r dumb
