Dumont still using 07-08 Dumonts with 08-09 graphics for the QP record?

If you look carefully at this photo. it looks like his skis have Cap construction just like his 07-08 Dumonts but only with next years graphics.

Compare it to the next years sidewall construction here, you can see that the graphic ends where the sidewall begins rather than continuing to his edges.

BTW, this id FAR from being a blame or whatever on Dumont because to do such a crazy thing, it is normal to use skis that you are 100% used to rather than totally different skis only to please your sponsors.

And also I might be wrong and maybe your eyes will see something else but it looks very plausible from what I've seen on the pictures.

 
seriously can u kids do anything other than worry about what skis people are using, what tricks theyre doing, what clothes theyre wearing, what toothpaste they use? Does it really matter? Do something meaningful that matters
 
yeah well during comps he skis on one pair of skis and then when he finishes some guy comes out and hands him another pair to stand there with, personally, it would make more sense to me to almost sticker next years graphics on his pair of skis because its almost bad marketing that even the pro wont wear the skis

I think anyone interested in buying a product next year should be trying to figure out why some pros arent using next years models.

there is probably some imperfection in next year stuff so pro riders are using this year stuff untill the company figure out what to do to make next year stuff just as good.

It's not that the company product sucks, it's just that they are still being developped.
 
dont be bothered by it. look at the x games, everybody, well maybe not everybody but alot did, did the same thing (used last years rather than this years skis)

if you were gonna break a record for the qp hit would you want to use a new ski, or one you were on the whole season and know how it will react to whatever you are doing on it?

paste. If he isn't riding the new side wall for a reason wouldn't

new skis I definitely want to know if the new ones are better or if i

should save the bills and snag a set of this years on clearance. Maybe its just dumont or maybe its nothing. but face it over half of NS would ride next years shit regardless just to say they're special. If he isn't, i wanna know why. Not cause i care about Dumont or his toothpaste. its cause i want to know about next years skis. i thought that'd be more obvious

yes there are a lot of threads on this, but i think this is a legitimate concern. why would somebody want to buy next years skis when it appears that something is wrong with them and pros are sticking with this years??
 
true, but T-Hall's new pro-model tube from aquafresh even comes out in rasta stripes

haha but yeah people did kinda freak out at the kid noticing this... but dumont probably just did that because he's not used to riding next years skis.

i doubt it has anything to do with the product being bad or not... so people shouldnt let this affect their purchases next year...because thats just stupid
 
If the Dumont Pro Model that os going to be sold to consumers next year is infact a very different ski then the model Dumont actually uses, it is a HUGE deal.

Its interesting to look at why Dumont and others are riding cap instead of sandwhich. Traditionally, sandwhich is way better. This makes this interesting. Why is that hard to understand? And since when did wondering about pro's choice of ski get linked with sucking pro's dick?

Ced's totally right, Salomon's probably just working out the quirks in the dumont. Has anyone seen someone riding on sandwhich dumonts? The ones in the pic from the show might be just be for show and aren't skiable.

SHUT UP, CAPARNICUS IS EXACTLY RIGHT!!!! I AM MAD ABOUT THIS AND I WANT TO KNOW THE DEAL.... I CARE! I AM NOT GOING TO BUY THESE SKIS NEXT YEAR, BECAUSE I DON'T RIDE SALOMON SKIS. BUT THERE IS INTEREST AS TO WHY THIS WHOLE DEAL IS HAPPENING!
 
hmmmmmmm..... its obvious why it would be of general interest. Maybe, the kid wants to know if this is true ,and if it is it would effect him spending a lot of money on a product the pro ,who the ski was named after, doesn't even use.
