Dumont JOSS Vid

It's been a while since I've seen a segment of Dumont outside the pipe. He did a bunch of super sick stuff in that. Color me impressed.
 
on a raw level Haviets left, right, and follow cams were mindblowing. But i definitely digged the whole feel simons edit gave. The still incorporation, editing, his grabs and corks were money.
 
I don't know how they managed to compress that vid into 32mb, when Jacob's was 190mb??

Im not impressed.

His style used to be so sick I think, now he looks all "salomon" and like robot and NASA shit... and like... his grabs are just weird and yucky... it's weird...

but his switch 3 was sick I think.
 
good but not amazing.... andreas still is better i think. incorporating the still was good but yet i also didnt like it, i felt it took away from the actually video shot. cork 3s and cork 10 high mute were ill, but i wasnt overly impressed by a lot of the other grabs. looks like he slipped and went into the lui kangs style as to balance from a missed grab if that makes sense. hah. cant wait to see the rest
 
man...i'm not even that big of a dumont fan, but i honestly thought that was visual poetry, especially with that song. i can't wait to see the sammy c edit.
 
some people impress me. just cause most skiers don't it's not my fault. But don't think I just don't like anything. There's things I like, just not a lot of what was in this edit. It's pretty legit dod

 
that was really good. i enjoyed it more than most of simons ski movie segments. cork 10 on the joi jump half way thru is dope, cant believe how long he holds that grab for. mayb not as good as andreas' but awesome none the less

I really dont know how you can hate on this though... the grabs were all so money and he held them so long. That sw 10 blunt over the step down was so ill he held that shit till the last second.
 
Whoever made Jacob's video did a lousy job compressing it, close to 200MB are totally unreasonable for a video this short.

As for the video, I love how he spots his landing midway through the double front and how he holds his grabs forever, but overall I think I liked Andreas' better.

 
i normally hate simon's style but some of those tricks in there made me think that he can actually have style if he does tricks other than those bio 7s and 10s every time.

Buy Idea. It could be a remix, I'm not sure, but that song is in Idea, and you get a CD with the soundtrack with the movie.
 
in terms of editing that was the sickest i have seen, better than sammys, however why he has to act like a complete cunt at the beginning i dont know. if he didnt have all that church shit and 'im so blessed' rubbish he should have won it

i really like how they put the photos and video together it flowed so nice
 
yea im gonna have to agree with you there. simons 10 high mute and cork3 kang are dope but he repeated them with identical style several times, i think andreas showcased a much larger bag of tricks and the ability to do them both ways. but to put it in perspective i am comparing two of the best segments ive ever seen
 
i really liked it, the way the incorporated the photo was interesting. cool to see the different perspectives. also the photos were fucking amazing, the colours were so nice. i also love the candide style spins, where the body just follows the head around. real sick.
 
yes it believe it was, i recall rory bushfield walking around it in the trailor for push.

so i just got home and finally got to watch the edit, not bad, i wish it was a little more upbeat but still pretty fucking amazing, his cork 3's are nuts, i still like sammy's and andreas' a bit better
 
i dont understand the hype of this edit, its not innovative at all...its like IDEA, except with a single super-ego skier, whoopty doo
