Dumont and no poles

so i put in pull for the first time in awhile and i noticed that near the end of his seg there is a clip of him throwing a blunt nine in the pipe at what looks like hood and guess what he's missing, poles! Maybe he's not as big of a hater as people make him out to be..... maybe he's a closet no poler
 
that would be wierd, personally ive heard him hating a shit ton on no poles several different times, and heard even more about how much he hates on it, he sounds like some gay racer or something.
hating on no poles is so dumb, ive heard just as much hate towards poles as there is against them, hopefully next year the hate switches and everyone hates on poles. that would be awesome.

anyway id maybe respect dumont a little if he dropped poles, and focused more on style and fun rather than money and comps.
 
one can only hope, the clip was in black and white so it made it really hard to tell that he didn't, wonder if it was intentional
 
did a kid with poles steal you lunch money? diversity is good for the sport, im glad there are serious comp riders as well as the idea crew. if everyone rode like mahre it wouldnt look so original anymore
 
people just need to chill about it seriously who care if you do or dont have poles or if your poles help or hinder your skiing its all just a prefrence
 
i agree its good to have some comp style people, but right now it sucks cause they are the ones getting all the exposure. i definatly think skiing needs to chill and focus more on creativity and fun, cause right now if you arent doing 200ft quad flips you arent cool.
anyway, we definatly dont need a dumont, he is past an over serious comp skier, he has the attitude of a steroid pumping football player.
 
dumont is way too serious about everything....im pretty sure he just wants to be remembered after hes gone.... thats my guess
 
obviously he can't grab his shit with poles in his hand unless it's just a "touch grab"

and he needs to spin more ways in the pipe if we wants to be considered to hot shit at it.. not just right side, but switch uphill switch downhill etc.
 
dumont may be a fucking cocky little asshole but he is ridiculously good at skiing and pushes skiing farther than almost anyone
 
by far he has pushed skiing really far but i say who gives a fuck if you have poles or not? if you dont have poles at my mountain your pretty much gay... sometimes your aloud to if your tryin to do huge shit everyonce in a while but if your going over tiny jumps your a fuckin fag but if you have poles sick good for you....but who gives a fuck?
 
No poles, no points.

But seriously, when I see people skiing without poles it just reminds me of snowbladers...
