Dumb Remounting Question

I want to use a pair retired skis as rock skis for some sketchier conditions and lower cover.

Can I remount using the same holes/ get a shop to do it. In central mass if anyone knows a East coast shop that can do a good job.

you can do this yourself easy- fill the holes with wood glue and screw the bindings in, just be careful to not cross thread the existing holes in the ski

They are currently filled already with glue. I would prefer to just have a shop do this.
 
If you're gunna go to a shop might as well have fresh holes drilled 1.5cm or so back from the initial mount. You'll not feel a difference

First off - don't use wood glue, that shit isn't strong at all & if your holes were already glued then the previous wood glue has already filled the pours in the wood so no point in using it again. It won't have much strength if the holes it sits in are already filled with glue. You want to use a double bubble exposy like this:

Find a toothpick, or a sharp piece of metal and get the old glue out. It's not hard to do and doesn't have to be perfect. Shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes for both skis.

Then put a little bit of glue in each hole - only do 8 at a time bc of your epoxy working time (you'll need at least 2 packs of epoxy, 3 is better). Then dab a very small amount of the tip of each screw and tighten the bindings down. It's unlikely anything will cross thread, however, you do have to be careful about over-tightening as you can rip the thread that's been created in the wood. Just tighten them pretty good, not loose, but not so tight you have to put your entire body weight to turn the screw less than a mm.

It's not rocket appliances - If you don't trust yourself to do something this simple how are you competent enough to even ski in the first place?
