Last night around 3'o clock a drunk college kid broke into my house. I't Freaked me the fuck out He had no idea where he was, who he was,or what he was doing. So i asked him if i could see his phone to call one of his buddies to come get him. He had no clue what the password on it was ,then he Randomly said ill crash here and proceeded to strip down into his underwear and go and lay down on my couch. I had no clue what to do so i left him there. Then around 9 the next morning i heard him trying to sneak out and i ran down stairs and called him back. I talked to him told him ,and told him i could have called the police but i didn't feel like going through all the trouble. He Payed me 40 dollars because he felt bad then took off out the door.

What the hell would guys have done?

Hahaa I would have picked his drunk ass up and thrown him outside!

but sounds like it ended best case scenario. Nothing stolen and you made 40 bucks? JEA! Go buy some weed or something

Sounds like in this situation you did the right thing and feel good about it.

Most likely i wouldve kicked his ass out if i was you because he easily couldve stolen something or fucked up your place.

well as long as he didn't make a mess or break anything I think you did things just right.

some randy bobandy breaks into your house, falls asleep, then gives you $40 in the morning? sounds like a win-win situation. other than breaking in was kind of rude.

Congratulations, you have the reading ability of a child with less than average intelligence. Good work, champ.

As for the question in the OP: If I was still in school and this occurred on campus, I would have let him crash on my couch for sure. If it happened where I live now, his ass would have been on the curb.

I was awake pretty much all night worrying about that, but i figured that he was probably to drunk to do shit so i just left him there.

My buddy got arrested for breaking into a house at college.

Came home blackout and went to the wrong building. Broke into some dudes house and fell asleep on the couch. Dude was sitting in his living room too. Called the cops when his door got bashed in.

And if this story isn't nans, obviously given him the boot.

And by break in do you mean opened your unlocked door? Cause that's your first problem. If he actually broke in broke in than fuck him, callin the cops

I rarely lock my doors. i live in a pretty safe area. from now on i know to do so.

i'm a pretty chill dude and i'm in the process of moving so i was exhausted and didn't feel like having a big scenario at 3 in the morning.

but anyways In the end it was a win win

I managed to walk into a random room in a hotel at like 3:00AM after drinking a bit too much. I was pretty fucking shaken in the morning.

That's the worst idea ever. Pretty safe area, lol.

Doesn't really matter. I locked my car even at my parents in the middle of the woods because there isn't a point not to.

I lock my doors, so I don't have random people breaking into my house in the middle of the night. Sounds like maybe you should try that next time.

Hell, at least lock them when you're going to bed. If nobody's going in or out what's the point of having your door unlocked?

Lol at a soccer tournament once this kid went to the second floor instead of the 3rd. And he thought his key wasn't workin so he just asked one of the maids to open the door for him. He went inside and took a shower but when he went to go get some clothes there were different bags haha. He ran to his room hahaha.

Probably should invest in a home protection weapon. You're lucky that little twat didn't try attacking you or some crazy pcp shit. But seriously, weapon.

In that situation, you did the right thing. He was probably freaking the fuck out, and just needed a place to calm down. It's super dope that he gave you the cash too.

If he looked sketchy I probably would have kicked him out. Maybe try to find him a way home I'm not sure.

This is a pretty hilarious story though

i would have greeted him with my 9 mm and then either proceeded to call the police, or shoot him on what happened next.

you're a lot nicer and a lot more trusting person than I am.

A couple years ago, I was walking into a house party and thought it would be funny to growl "Someones gonna get raped." It was the wrong house. The party was two houses over. In Montana you could easily get shot for that and they wouldn't be criminally accountable for anything. Needless to say, I learned my lesson..

right. because it's sooooo wrong to defend one's home against intruders. this particular instance turned out OK, but there are many that don't.

dude i totally respect you and you're so cool because you have guns. i'm sure you really relate to the rappers that talk about carrying a 22 everywhere.

aha so funny. same thing happened to me my soph year living in a house. same scenario 3am but we didnt know he was a student at first and my roommate opened the door and smashed his ribs with a bat. he sobered up real quick, explained the situation, he didnt sue, we didnt call the cops so it was all good in the end

Oh man, I'm laughing so hard right now imagining a girl walking into a strangers house and mumbling that.

Depends how I felt about him. If he looked like a douche I'd kick him out, using force if necessary. If I felt sorry for him I woulda called him a cab and tossed him in.

Probably would have messed with him a little bit. Some fake blood, fake diamonds, and something obscure like a car tire strewn around him in the morning would have gone a long ways.

Happened to one of my friends. He woke up on a random person's couch to the owner kicking him asking if he want's to go get breakfast. Mind you neither person knew who the other was or why he was on said couch. Turned out the two became solid homies afterwards.

sucks his phone was locked. if he was really only in boxers, i would've taken various embarrassing pictures and sent them to 'mom' and every other recent contact in his phone.

I woke up next to a homeless person at my buddies place my freshman year after a night of drinking.

I didn't feel like walking back to campus that night, so I crashed at a friends apartment. I woke up on the couch to him screaming "WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU ASLEEP IN MY HOUSE," and as I rolled over to tell him it was me and he'd ok'd it last night, a homeless jumps out of his extra Lazyboy and books it past me out of his kitchen and down his one story porch.

The front door was locked, so the only way he could have gotten in was by climbing up the porch and sneaking in through the back kitchen door. Regardless I was creeped out about having been completely unaware of his presence the whole night.

I would have done the same, everyone's got too drunk and needed some help. I rarely lock my house either.

This year my roommate ended up going into the wrong room in our dorm butt naked, some random Chileans were pretty confused. When he got back he opened the door and stood there for a while, I asked him whether he had been walking the halls naked, he looked down, slurred "I guess so' and proceeded to pass out.

so a guy completely out of his mind misses his home by a few doors and some guys think he shouldve been shot?

give me a fucking break. we all make mistakes, you shouldnt get shot for such stuff.

So a drunk guy broke into your house, did nothing harmful to anyone/thing then the slept, and the next morning, paid you 40 dollars...

I need to open up a fucking bed and breakfast.

considering how things turned out, I don't think anyone thinks he should have been shot. i think we're merely stating that breaking in to someone's home in the middle of the night is a good way to end up shot.

yeah a lot of people dont just assume its a drunk college kid whos lost, usually people break in to jack your shit
