Hey, all the Minnesotans out there... who knows about the park in Duluth... is there a good one at Spirit Mountain? How about urban rails? Just moved here and am looking for the prime spots. I also heard there is a big comp. every year called mso or something, it that going on this year?

Yeah dude Spirit is by far my favorite place in MN. They got some big stuff and some smaller stuff. They don't have a whole ton of rails but every year i see more that wern't there the year before so i think they are growing. Last year it was soooo good. They had everything set up so nice and you could hit like 6 jumps in one run if you wanted to. Plus the town of Duluth is pretty much built on a hill going down to the lake so you will find awesome urban stuff all over. If you've never been there id give it like 15 minutes and you could find yourself a very sweet doable handrail. I live 3.5 hours away from Spirit and i have a season pass for this season. MSO is definatly sweet. Ive never personally been there but they have tons of good sponsers i think last year it was like dynastar, red bull, dakine and some others. Lots of people go though so its a huge contest. Usually right towards the end of the season. Maybe i'll see ya up there this year.

yea, spirit is pretty much awesome.

the park is always good, can get pretty icy in january. and its cold all the time, and theres urban stuff all over

I don't think MSO will happen this season, but keep your ears open for comps at Marquette Mountain, about 5 hours from duluth, in Michigan.

Spirit is great, i only made it down there once last season. I hope to ski there a few times this season.

yea dude spirit bought killigton vermonts pipe groomer so there will be a super pipe there this year

be careful to get your hopes up to quick about actually having a super pipe. Ispoke last year with Mike Carlson and erik the park guy and they said they were going to buy one but didn't think they had steep enough terrain to make the walls much higher. So yes they have the cutter but probably won't use it for it's full potential.
