Duluth just got wrecked

Here in Duluth, we just had a 100-year flood event. Pretty crazy stuff, we got 9 inches of rain in 24 hours. The rivers are very high and many of the streets are washed out since the city is built on a hill. Just thought I'd share some of the photos and videos with you guys.

Here's some video I shot today:

And some photos:

This is crazy. I'm from the cities and I've always loved Duluth. Bummer everything is getting wrecked up there. Props for being ballsy and going on that bridge, haha that was nuts.

Holy shit those photos look like they're from the road or the day after tomorrow or something. Crazy shit

I scrolled the pictures and was in awe. Then I arrived at the seal and laughed my ass off. It's looking at the camera like "fuck, I'm caught!" At least one eye anyway...

same thing happened where i live (3 hours away). we dont have a zoo but our sewage system got backed up and flooded peoples' basement. hope your house is ok! i heard about the seal and polar bear and saw the parking lot of miller hill mall. its crazy cause i was just there 2 weeks ago.

I'm going up to Duluth then the BWCA next week...

I know a bunch of people from the area, I hope their homes and whatnot are okay

No injuries or deaths have been reported, just a lot of property damage. I work for the city, and I was out doing FEMA damage inspections today, and the roads are pretty fucked up.

Thompson bridge washed out today:

That pic with the corolla that got wedged into that pit in the road is nuts.

Tragic stuff though.. I've never been to Duluth but I have heard it's a nice area.

Glad I live in Rochester, we didn't get hit hard with anything, but we did get a lot of rain, and for some reason my entire neighborhood and some stores close by were completely out of power for a few hours. The weather has been so bipolar lately.

Duluth got fucked over. If I was in back in MN I'd come help man . That looks bad. Hope people were okay.

Vibes man, sad to see that happen. I love vacationing up there, the place is like a mini San-Fran.

Also know where your coming from, luckily my city was prepared fast enough to deal with the floods from last years spring, minot, not so much. Here's a compilation of some videos and pics of what we were stuck with for a few months last year, in the pictures, it will be really hard to tell where the river usually flows:
