maybe so but I still don't think that the guy at the agency told the girls they were gonna get screwed by a lacrosse team, do you? Again, stripping doesn't implicitly mean having to fuck every guy watching that feels like it. Thus hiring a stripper from outside isn't straightforward pimping, in my books anyway.

What really boggles me is that the majority of people posting in this thread seem to think that it was okay that they got raped, and it was their own fault for being so stupid as to do their goddamn job, and that they got what they deserved.

good call sir. and on another note, i heard that a couple of the people charged weren't even on campus that night, and i know that the only black kid on the team wasnt asked to provide dna even though he was there-racially motivated bullshit if you ask me.

ok dude, first off

this sets a really bad image for the rest of lacrosse

so now when i tell someone i just met that i play lacrosse, they get all offended and something like its sport that rapes people a lot. Its pretty bad that a great team like Duke had to go and rape some person, but it happens.

The people in this thread need to stop hating on races. Grow up, and wait until your balls drop to do that.
 
This is gonna blow up in the prosecutor's face. The DA's a big idiot, releasing certain pieces of evidence to try and get the public all riled up against the team. This latest email, which is pretty fucked up, supports the team's story that the strippers came, the kids paid them, then they dance for only a couple minutes then left. That's why they were all worked up, and that's why the kid sent the email. The DA had a quote the other day, saying "If these kids are innocent, why did they go and get lawyers. That's not something an innocent person would do." Furthermore, the "wall of silence" that the media is bitching about is pretty rediculous: if you're involved in any way in a rape allegation, there's no way in hell your just gonna go talk about it. It's a Miranda right, "anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." Of course the kids are gonna get a lawyer, who will tell them to not say anything. Besides, the kids already gave their DNA, 46 kids on the team, which in itself is a dragnet of dubious Constitutionality. They even took DNA from kids that were out of state the time of the party. I feel bad for the team, because of the way the media, the students, and even professors are treating the situation. At least give the kids a little due process before wrapping up the case and all but broadcasting a guilty verdict.

PS The reason that the black kid on the team wasn't tested was because the accusor identified the alleged rapists as white. Nothing wrong with that.

You serious? Go google "Tawana Brawley" This kind of thing doesn't happen that often, but allegations like these do come about, ruin peoples' lives, and then turn out to be false. But by that time, the damage has been done.

PS Tawana Brawley was a black girl who was picked up, claiming that she was raped, degraded, etc. by white police officers and stranded for 4 days. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton came to her "aid," and effectively ruined the lives of the officers by publicly ripping them apart. The case was thrown out in court, everything she said was a lie.

the day before some kid at the school sent an all school email saying that he was gonna have stirppers but he wasnt gonna fuck um he said he was gonna kill the bitches when they walked inthe door and skin them...fuckin psycho
 
That email that got everybody all riled up was sent after the party was over and everything went down, not the day before. And though it's real fucked up, it's perfectly consistent with the story the kids are giving: strippers come, get paid, then dance for 3 minutes and leave. Kids get all worked up, take their money back from her, DON'T rape her, she leaves, calls the police on the rape. This kid, all worked up about the strippers who tried to take the money without dancing for the agreed amount, sends an email venting his frustration, saying something to the tune of "I'm so pissed off, I wanna call up some strippers and kill them cause they're such bitches." Pretty fucked up, but plausible. It definitely doesn't mean that a rape went down.

this said today after it was suppose to be released LAST MONDAY, thats a week later, going on 10 days
 
i love how amongst a story and reactions about an alleged story of rape, two people managed to come together and e-marry.

it brings a tear to my e-eye.
 
DNA evidence was released today. They found NO matches to any of the lacrosse players. Some might say how "they coulda worn a condom, this doesn't mean anything" etc., but what is most significant is that not only did they find no matches on her, no matching DNA was found underneath her fingernails or the fake ones that broke off at the party, allegedly from her "fighting back." Furthermore, pictures on digital cameras that the kids have show that she was inebriated at the time, show that when she arrived she had scratches and bruises, show her smiling after the alleged incident, and show a couple of the players helping her into her car cause she was apparently real drunk. If you allow me to speculate a bit, this case seems pretty cut and dry: the kids didn't do anything wrong, their lives were upended by false accusations that were exacerbated by an overzealous DA in an election year and the media looking for a big story, giving it racial overtones. This is bullshit, I feel bad for these kids. Not only them, but the coach and those associated with the school. The students that protested against the team, the professors that insulted them in class, the residents that tried to spit on them, they should all be ashamed.
 
It sucks taht there seasonw as cancelled becasue of tihs. They were a good ball club and desrved to play. It is still sketchy that they hired strppers and thef act that that one kid sent that terrible e-mail. That was fucked up. He deserves to be expelled but erverone else should be allowed to paly.
