Duct tape no longer holds my gloves together...

I have been using the same gloves for 10 years, they are some Grandoe spring gloves with enough duct tape on them to support a ski chair. I NEED new gloves. Was looking at something more low profile, but had used a pair of Hestras last year in AK and loved them, but its time I make a purchase. Throw some ideas my way.
 
I was in the same boat, then I bought some North Face Patrols. Unreal. Not way too warm, super breathable, and I've never had wet hands. With some Nikwax, hands down the best gloves I've ever owned after destroying Hestras, Armadas and Dakines. A full season of shovelling with an avy shovel, rope tows and general wear and tear with no signs of the leather or stitching wearing.
 
On a more serious note, Burton makes some dope pipe gloves. They aren't the heaviest things, but they have kept my hands warm on all but the coldest of days, and from my experiences at least, they are almost indestructible.
 
I personally think Dakine has amazing mittens since my filtmore mit has held up great for 3+ years( trying a new pair of gloves this year since they finally ripped ). But try shoe goo instead of duct tape, it holds like no other.
 
you could always sew together the holes with fabric, wool, and leather, that's what I did with my favorite mittens after they got shredded by a ropetow. Still super warm. (they were actually still pretty warm even with the whole in the thumb though so who knows)
