he's the definition of sell-out. I went on this rant the first time somebody posted a skrillex thread. first, success once you already have an "in" to the industry is nothing surprising. 22 is also not that early for successful musicians, especially in electronic music. most of the shit that's popular now is produced by people who are under 25, many of who are under 22, 20 or even 18. kid's get signed before they drop out of high school on a regular basis. very rarely do artists who haven't made it before they are 25 make it later in popular music.
as for Sonny Moore/Skrillex, he is one of these musicians that are in it for the money, who hop from "it" genre to "it" genre for paychecks. he has gone from screamo, to the ambient shit that was in for less time than ed hardy, to dubstep, which is the current fad genre that'll be done by mid-late 2011, and I'll bet you anything that he'll hop onto the next trend-train to money-town as soon as he has the chance.
also to the guy above who went on a rant about dubstep being listened to by bros, you have a fucking Rock and Republic icon. that is the definition of bro denim. explain the paradox please.
