Dub is style of reggae. Dub reggae =/= Dubstep.

On a related note, this is pretty close to true dub, and definitely not dancehall (and a damn good song).

this has already been posted, but

Dub music is an offshoot of reggae music, characterized by instrumental remixes of previously-recorded, typically reggae, music and audio samples that are further manipulated with sound effects such as loops, echoes, and reverbs. This remixing generally changes the original material so much that new songs, or “versions,” are created. Dub music was the was the first music genre to use samples and the engineer’s sound board alongside, or in place of, live or recorded singers and musical instruments.

because the OP wanted traditional, mellow dub to chill to. not electronic whomps over some reggae sample that kill a relaxing vibe.

Goddamnit people, learn your fucking music. Groundation is roots reggae. Rusko and Major lazer aren't even dubstep let alone dub reggae.

Sly and Robbie, King Tubby, and Scientist are dub reggae.

oh, and klazo, although neither of those songs are really true dub, i was at that Anthony B show you posted.

You give too much of a fuck. Chill out, if only by the book dub reggae was posted then this thread wouldn't be half as sweet.

quite the opposite my friend. you must not know much about dub reggae cuz i think it would be twice as sweet if only dub reggae was posted.

you are officially a retard, well done. refer to what muchomango said in response to you. now post some real dub, or be gone with you, noob.

How 'bout some newschool shit.

Stop talking some shit. I have let this thread chill in mythreads for too long. I grew up in the U.S. dub reggae revolution. Name a band that pioneered the movement and I have seen them in the states. FUCK YOU.

well if you supposedly "grew up in the U.S. dub reggae revolution", then why the fuck aren't you posting any dub? surely you would have a firm grip on the genre by now? sounds like you're full of shit, but thats just my opinion

And can people start posting the artist and the name of the song? Some of this is really sick and I have no idea who it. Is

K, so I've posted The Slackers, Cornell Campbell, Miike Snow Dub remix, Burning Babylon, Satori, 10ft Ganja Plant, Bunny Wailor, and Deal's Gone bad. All of which fall into either Dub or Reggae and I pretty much guarantee you haven't heard of most of those bands. You have posted 0 dub. 7/12 songs i posted were straight dub. Do I really need to point them out for you?

. . . and yea, I was drunk as hell when I posted that rant.

Here is another dub, try and tell me this is not dub.
