Help me out NS.. I've got two 19" flatscreens that I want to hook up to my computer. They both use VGA ports except my motherboard only has one! Dum dum dum dummm.. What do I do? Is there a splitter?

you can buy a cord that will allow you to plug in two or three or fours monitors at once, gimme a sec it's in one of my magazines around her somewhere...

nvm it's a box not a cord. anyways it's called the Matrox Triplehead2Go, the one here is a Digital Edition with DVI and VGA on one side to connect to your PC, then 3 DVI outputs on the other side to connect to your monitors. I think they have a VGA version that would work for you, so just google Matrox Triplehead2Go and see what you can find. hope that helped.

^ They do indeed have a VGA splitter, except I don't know any place where I can get one, plus the space behind my computer is limited for a box.. Thanks though ++ Karma k-rob

well the matrox site has a little "where to buy" tab on the left, that might help, or you could try tigerdirect. no problem though, happy to help, +karma right back at ya

I have one and my brother got one for his laptop, except he doesn't need it.. Soo he gave it to me and I want to feel big with dual monitors :)

It's good for editing too

PM SKIER_KYLE.

he is my brother and has dual monitors... its worth the money for a good video card, he has a super nice setup.....

Weeelll, my VGA port is docked in my mothership and I hooked up four moniters. What you have to to is switch the data infrastuctureal cord with the harddrive and increase your bandwith while sucking 3 dicks, next you have to connect your VGA port with the VGA dock and make buttsex with you face. After that you have to click on the button that says I have too much time on my hands and place your second infrastuctural cable in your printer and press on. That should do it.

There's a lot of uses for dual monitors such as video editing, making beats and loops for music, working with stuff like photoshop, 3D modeling, graphic design, ect.

yeah, most onboard cards will cause you to have reallllly low framerates with 2 monitors

id go with atleast an 8600gt or up

You don't know what video card I have, all you know is what the back of my motherboard looks like..

The thing is, even though I know how to do it, I don't want to take/put anything in my new computer, I just want like an ad on, you know?

this is an interesting thread...

I can't live without at least two monitors. And now I just upped to three with the option of one day having five. As a web designer it is great to to design in one screen, work graphics in another, and at the same time view results instantly in different browsers at different resolutions...

I mainly use just two screens, a wide-screen and a normal screen. The wide-screen I split into two when surfing pages, but when I'm making skiing edits I use the whole screen. The third screen I've just set up to monitor Outlook and keep tabs on my email and appointments, etc... I also run a clock and weather monitor on that screen... :)
