DSLR Help

Hello NS,

I was hoping to get some camera advice. I'm in the market for a DLSR and want to know what you think would be good. I'm planning on using it for skiing and general use - so I want it to take good stills and film in good quality. Priced around £350/$500ish. Ideally I'd like to be able to put together some clean edits. I live in the UK so I would use in the mountains when I can but predominantly in Snow Domes and Dryslopes.

I've been looking at

-Canon 550D t2i

-Nikon D3200

Any help/recommendations/criticisms appreciated

Im selling my waterproof DLSR if you want it?

Get a t3i, It's essentially the same as the t2i, but the flippity dippity screen on it comes in handy a lot more than you would think.Nikon would probably be better if you wanted it just for stills, but canon is a lot better for video, especially if you download magic lantern on it. I love my t3i!

The nikon D5300 is the newest edition to the D500 series. The nikon D5300 is a great beginner DSLR, with an impressive 24.2 megapixels, 23.5 x 15.6mm CMOS sensor, 3.2 inch vari-angle monitor, powerful low-light performance (extendable up to ISO 25,600), built-in WiFi and GPS function, shoots video at 1920 x 1080, 60p (progressive)/50p/30p/25p/24p, high/normal. 1280 x 720, 60p/50p, high/normal. 640 x 424, 30p/25p, high/normal.

You can pickup the D5300 from www.digitalrev.com with the nikon AF-S DX nikkor 18-55mm kit lens for around £589 (plus import charges). Or you can pick up the same rig from www.jessops.com for around £799.
