Hey I cant afford a backyard setup, and I'm trash at rails. I really wanna get better. Any advise on what is a good way to practice rails? I've heard jumping onto moving longboards is a good way.
PS: yes, I know I sound like a fat gooberdouche
some kids like jump on to random stuff with there skis on and try to do switchups and whatnot. I just spend my summer jumping on tramps and off bridges, then work my ass off at boxes and rails at the beginning of the season before there are any jumps
Also try on to the back bar of a soccer goal. There's enough clearance to help balance since it's an 3-4 inches tall, yet has little risk factor. Helped me a lot with balance and getting used to "edging" 270's and such out.

I build my set up for $23, the only thing i paid for was the turf and that really wasn't to bad, I bought a 6x8 sheet of it and cut it in half. Ask around for some supplies and wood! Trust me, you'll find stuff.

Alright thanks for all the info. I'll try and make a setup.
and while i'm at it, does anyone have any tips for edging?cuz my main problem on rails is that I dont get my skiis flat, and I catch an edge.
