i think we should have a petition for dryslopes to be built around the U.S.

thers no reason why not to, everyone would love to have a place to ski in the summer besides mt.hood.

so sign the thread and maybe someone with some power to do it will see it and stuff will happen

 
dry slopes are rad. i'm pretty sure a thread on ns won't get any of them built....... but they're really cool so i'll sign anyways.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.
 
well.... the problem with dry slopes is liability, but although i don't think this will help either I SIGN.

If you actually want one, just talk to the company that constructs them and see if you can become a franchise. Then, if there is a then, choose a location and get a big ass loan from the bank. Maybe it'll be profitable after four or five years.

Skiing is never a sport, but a lifestyle.

Some people question 'why' and wonder 'how'. They just can't seem to grasp 'how' or 'why' we do what we do. Others don't understand, they just continue to wonder. The truth of the mater is that we can't explain it either. All we can say is 'snow so deep you sink up to your hips', 'hits so big you can't see the landing', 'rails with all kinds of bends and kinks', 'natural cliffs and tree runs that you can't explain with any other word than sick' and still they don't understand what we do. On a board or skiis, it is the same. A feeling of freedom and expression in a way so uncommon. But still, they don't understand....

Megs, a good friend of mine says: 'Feel the fear, and do it anyway.' When you do, than you will understand.'

All of the slopes in the UK are privatley or club owned, so you are more likely to get one built if you find some rich kid with a million or so to spare, or get some investors.

not all of the dryslopes in the UK are private. Some are owned by the council.

dryslope is a retarded idea, but it can be alot of fun. good luck.

okay, first off internet petitions on a sight like this are pointless.

number two we need a reason, not a perition. there are a few dry slope places in the US but we dont need them. it snows here. the reason they have them in england is because it doesnt snow enough. Rumor has it there could be a summer park opning in colorado next year, but i dont know if its dry slope.
