So how many of you out there have had drunk driving experiences? Im highly against it, and last night in a blacked out state (drank a 5th of whiskey over the day to myself) i guess i got upset over some stuff with the ex, and got in my car and drove off all pissed off. I ended up a coupld miles down the highway when witt the cat foster and cosco came and picked me up after convincing me to stop driving...i dont remember any of it but today i have that feeling of how big i messed up and how stupid it was. I can't believe i did it, i feel super shitty today about it. At least i had good friends who tried to stop me in the first place, and ones that came and got me. They prolly saved mine and possibly some innocent persons life. Driving drunk is just retarted, i can't believe i did it. First time in my 20 years of life i've driven after having a large amount...

my uncle decided to cruise around drunk one day and killed some guy right outta college. he spent a couple years in jail and it completely fucked my family over. so im not a big fan of drunk driving.
 
I'm against it but ive done it before, but always like why the fuck did i do that the next day. It has such high consequences not only with the law but with you and someone elses life.
 
i used to do it all the time. never shitfaced but i had no problem getting in a car after a 40. then once i drove super crossed which was bad. but then i flipped my car (sober) and i realized how dangerous cars really were and i wouldnt do it anymore
 
yea im also completely against it. having been driven home by designated drivers while i was hammed...i honestly dont know how yuou could handle a car...
 
i did one time when i had to drive a friend home. his brother was over too so he drove my car to his house to drive him home, and i had to do the whole drive back on my own (i was drunk and high). i made it back fine, but i was super careful, and i will never do it again. it was so scary.
 
ya one of my friends is in a wheel chair now. another friend drove drunk (after having his liscence taken away for getting a dui a month before) he flipped his truck and the other friend flew out of the window. prettyyy gayyyyyy
 
Remember that your falculty to think about your actions are greatly reduced. I know this is bullshit but its not really your fault

 
Yea there was this kid in my school who was a juinor, and he drove home totally shitfaced one night, fell asleep at the wheel, hit a tree, car caught fire, he got stuck, burned 30% of his body including face, ears (there gone) and whole left side of his chest. He was a varisty basketball player and a decent student. Now hes back at our school and he's always at partys. But the thing is, he get completely trashed all the time, its horrible to see, and last night he made a complete fool of himself walking around groping girls and being a complete asshole. In a way I dont feel bad for him, because he still has no regard for safety and drinking too much. Drunk driving is not a good idea, and should be avoided as much as possible.
 
i had my first experience last night and i dont even have a licence yet. i was at my buddys house and we were just playin some pong and drinkin. but my other friend needed a ride home and it was like 130 in the morning so i just found someones keys and took him home, but they live like 3 blocks from each other so its not a big deal, its actualy easier than i thought.
 
i was doing it all the time for a while with no problems, but my friend got a dui a while back and i just stopped because its not even worth it. i was doing it all the time without troubles, but its stupid and not worth the possibilites of hurting someone
 
i did it last weekend without realizing it. just hopped in the car after the cops busted a party. i got to my buddies house and was like "oh shit im drunk" never again i hope.
 
When my mom was a freshman in highschool, her sister was a senior at the time (my aunt) was driving home with a group of friends from the bowling alley. they were going through a green light when a drunk driver went through a red light and killed my moms sister and her 3 friends in the car.

also, my uncle died just this past year from a drunk driver hitting him head on on the highway.

Fuck drunk driving, its stupid and its always the innocent that end up getting the bad end of it. Don't do it. its just plain ass stupid.
 
the biggest problem is....i was fully blacked out, and don't remember it at all. I am so agaisnt it...and yet it happened. My friends tried to stop me take the keys out of the car and shit but i just drove off (i guess a kid was reachin in for my keys and i bruised his arm).....

HIDE YOUR KEYS FROM YOURSELF, OR MAKE SURE SOMEONE ELSE HAS THEM THATS SOBER

 
i've done it once, and never again. I went out drinking the night before and crashed at my friends house. THe next morning i got up for work and drove home and never really crossed my mind that i was a bit drunk still. i went home and went to bed and learned my lesson.
 
fuck that shit way too many kids die from it

if I have my car with me and people plan on drinking ill just smoke myself retarded instead, no death or crashing just a nice drive home
 
only if i am in my neighborhood like less than 5 miles away form my house and if i havent drank a lot...if im buzzed its no problem for me
 
Can't say I've ever done it blacked out, but I've driven when over the legal limit. Granted I drive better than most sober people when I'm drunk.
 
aah my friend is awful about drunk driving, and whenever he blacks out (50% of the time he drinks) he wants to drive his car. one night he got in a druuunnk fight with his girl and jumped in his car and drove for about an hour on the highway, shitfaced as hell. i got a call from a friend at like 3 in the morning and she was like you gotta call your boy up and get him to come home, so i tried but he just kept yelling drunk gibberish and hanging up on me. finally he stopped at a burger king and this randomass crackaddict sat down with him and somehow convinced my friend to go home. weird shit.
 
yeah when im sober im always like fuck drunk driving, and still havent been in a car with a "drunk" driver, i have been in with a buzzed driver, and i do have to say he drove alot better than when he is sober ( when he is sober he passes people in the brake down lane, runs red lights, well that was one time because he is retarded, a whole nother story) but when he was buzzed he drove perfectly, probly because he was so parinoid.

I do have a funny story about trail rating though, so my friend drives a jeep cherokee and we were stuck in the senior lot in this line of cars, so i go, dude your cars trail rated, fucking drive across the grass median, so he did, and we saved 5 minutes of sitting in line, so now ever boering night of the week we go "trail rating" were we go to find soccer fields, golf courses, any open field, etc. and just do alot of doughnuts and stuff and we recently made the police log for causeing 3 grand in repairs to a golf course, dont worry it was a piece of shit course that is never played, and town owned so we didnot screw over a small business. But it was funny because in the police log they said they were going to match the tire prints to the cars, at first this made me pee my patns then i was like, wtf, we were in a jeep cherokee, suburban and fj cruiser, alot of people have those cars, all with stock tires, they will never find us
 
and the wierdest part is that drunks have that drunken "luck" on their side...which means there crusin and they hit that typically family in the minivan and everyone in the minivan dies and the drunk gets out of it unscaved(sp?) and no serious injury which is messed up
 
my godd thats horrible? so wait he has no face? how does that work? and how does he hear if he has no ear? so whats in place of his face? god i can't beleive that, he is probly lucky to be alive, so why wouldnt he learn his lesson, god i hate stupid people, when i was 4, my 1 1/2 year old baby sister was killed by a drunk driver but my dad was okay, so please everyone, don't do it, you have no idea what it feels like losing a child, neither do i, and i was very young at the time but my parents were devasted and we will never be the same without haley, so please just don't do it, your dealing with peoples lives, a baby never had a chance at life just because someone decided to drive drunk
 
I drove home really pissed once. It was a bad experience. I hit a skunk which got lodged in my wheel well, that I didnt notice till I was inside my house and because my garage is attached to my house half my house stunk. nobody was home and I decided to invetigate the stink. I ended up locking myself outside of my house and in the garage where I had to spend the night with a dead smelly skunk. It was freezing outside, so im glad I decided to take my chances with the stink instead of becoming a human popsicle. I had to take a fucken tomato bath the next day. I will never drink and drive again.
 
i was and still am totally agianst drunk driving or driving while high. but this summer i got really drunk with some friends and i needed to take one home. i told him that i was too drunk to drive him up timberline road. we took a few more shots and smoked a little. at that point i was convinced i was able to drive up the Timberline's road(mountain road, really curvy, and pretty dangerous). i regret all of it. i made it up and back down without hurting me or anyone else. It was stupid and i regret all of it. i hope next time there will be someone to stop me from driving.
 
ya at something like skiing. When your drinking very rarely you are in the exact same state every time. sometime you are tired which makes you feel drunk quicker and other times you drink more. there are tons of things that can affect you when your drunk so it probably isnt the same ever, so dont even say that.

I have to say drinking and drive is totally stupid, and I know I did it ONCE! and thats all and it was about 2k down a backroad(i didnt even meet a car). But I do remember quite well as I had to watch my brother lose his girlfriend because of drinking and driving and the driver got 8 months which is definatley not enought time, but he did lose all of his friends as none of them will talk, or even acknowledge him anymore.

Also as someone said they smoke while they drive. That is just as bad. My town is along one of the deadliest strips of hwy of eastern ontario. Pretty well every year there is at least 1 deadly accident on this hwy and one of the deadlist I can remember included 4 cars and 3 of the cars where friends who were smoking. THe fourth car was an 1 ton truck and a trailer with a racing car. Now this young lad who caused the accident survived but 6 others didnt, and the two people in the 1 ton where injured very badly and the one can not race anymore and the other is an amputee because of the accident. I remember my uncle responded to this car accident as he is with the voltuntter fire dept and he said this is the worse accident he has been to as one or two of the kids burnt to death inside a car.

Because of this accident there has been a movie made recalling the incidents that tragic evening. Mostlikely if you are in Ontario and are in drivers ed then you might have seen this as this movie is out there and I have seen it twice.

So smoking is just as bad as drinking and people need to learn that.
