Drug tests for jobs

so i applied to work at my local ski shop and they said i would have to pass a drug test before i could work. i told them i would be able to and took the piece of paper i needed. they told me to go to some clinic place to get it done, and then they would call me after they got the results. well i had smoked about 4 days before that so i decided to go to gnc and see what i could find. the guy sold me some stuff that he said would work 100% guarenteed. i took that and the test about a week later.

so now for my real question. does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to figure the results and give them to the employer? its been a week and like 2 days so far and i havent gotten any kind of call. also does anyone have any experience with the things you drink from GNC? i cant remember the name but it was one of those detox things. im pretty nervous right now, because i really want this job. also does anyone know what an employer would usually do if you failed? would they call and say you failed? what im saying is there any way my parents can find out?

if the ski shop i work at drug tested there would be about 2 employees left.

but it seems like it could take about 2 weeks maybe more for them to do the tests. labs have a lot of shit to get done and its not like your drug test is exactly high profile or anything
 
usually they will tell you the day after you take the test. If you dont pass they won't tell you, but they will notify the authorities who may or may not talk to you after 2 weeks or so. good luck.
 
well, the 5-0 can't do shit. i straight up told a cop to his face that i smoked an hour ago and they can't do shit. they can only bust you for posession or paraphanelia.....they can't bust you for being high.
 
mine took about a week or two (i passed). i guess some take forever and some are quicker (the guy who got his the next day). i think it depends on how busy the clinic is, the turnover rate, all of that. i know my clinic has to outsource the tests for analysis and then the results are sent back, so it took longer.

as for if you failed, i dont know what will happen. i really doubt they'll notify the cops, that'd be ridiculous.

and a word to the wise, if they drug test you once, theyre allowed to do it again. most will only do so if they have "reason" to (pictures turn up, you look high as fuck...). a friend of mine was always talking about what he did that weekend in the backroom so they re-tested him and he got fired. so be careful.

and as for that GNC stuff, my friend Caasi used it and passed fine, but she hadn't smoked for a week or so before, not 4 days.

nah not really. its a local thing, but there are a few stores scattered about the greater pittsburgh area and 7springs (the resort) theres also one in fairfax... so i guess we're getting bigger. but not big enough that no snow isnt effecting us.
 
im just considering one or two of the girls who work in soft goods... i could be wrong though, they may smoke.
 
naw man theyre not gonna tell anyone, theyll just reject you. you cant get in trouble for smoking in the past...

and fuck a ski shop that drug tests, what a bunch of assfucking lunatics that have no soul.
 
might i guess, willies? and i guess the one im working for is a chain. but there are only 3 of them. i was really surprised when they said i needed to pass a drug test. i know they wont call the police or anything, but im just nervous tey will call my house and tell whoever answers(probly not me) that i failed my test. but i think i will pass
 
HAHAHAHA they cant tell anyone dude, thats violation of privacy laws. If the police came, its wrongful arrest and you could sue.
