i heard nordica is dropping kristi next season. i looked on the webpage today and they didn't have her on there as one of the riders......what's goin on????

i don't know anything about it, but it would make sense in a way...they spend a shit load advertising here as a sex goddess and still no one wastes their money on their ugly ass shit skis, so they could possibly be loosing money, but just because she isn't on the site doesn't mean she's off the team.

i just checked out the Nordica USA site and she's there - has a bio with pictures and a video.

you serious? i was there and there were only two riders under freeriding, and they weren't her. maybe the page didn't load the whole way, cause i closed it as soon as i saw she wasn't there. but i did hear the they are dropping her next year. that's what the nordica rep told my bros

if she does get dropped, i wouldn't be surprised if armada picked her up. 3 reasons. 1; they don't have any girls 2; she's in pretty tight with jf and julien and she dating jp and finally 3; next year armada will have the money to pick her up

i'm not saying this is gonna happen, it's just my opinion so do'nt go around telling all your friends that armada's gonna sign her

If I was Kristy I would have quit a long time ago. I mean their skis and boots are all right...but you can do better, and most of their new products are ripoffs of other companies...their binding adjusts just like Line's, their boots have a see through shell and the exact padding that the 1080 boots have...etc. If I was her I would go to Rossignol they are looking for skiers.

no comment on the rumour, but I'd have to say that kristi could do a lot better for some other company. noone in freeskiing really seems to care that much about nordica. but, kristi is a pretty damned good rider, and having a girl on your team definitely has to have some usefulness toward getting girls to buy your stuff. the only reason it doesn't work for nordica is that I dont think they have any kind of established good freeskiing reputation whatsoever.

 
but who else rides for Nordica??? Why would Kristi ever go from being a company's number one athlete (exposure-wise) to a company where she'd just end up as one of many. Do you guys see how much press/exposure Nordica gives Kristi? Why would she ever voluntarily give that up?

 
my bros both work at our local shop and the nordica rep was in the other day and told them that kristi was asking for too much $$ and that they were going to drop her next year. i was just wondering if anybody else heard this

Sure Kristi gets exposure, but Nordica has to be loosing money in the newschool dept. those posters have to put a fat dent in their wallets, especially when no profit is returned.

you can get the posters in freeskier. I don't think it matters where she goes. someone will buy the product. and this years beast skis look pretty sweet to me. If I needed new skis I would take a look at them

yah, nordicas shit looks pretty good this season, but ive only seen pics and ive never ridden on any of their stuff. but as i said before it looks like hot shit with that binding system and that sweet boot.

I wouldn't ride Nordica if I was Kristi. I would drop them next year along with Nordica clothes. Kristi should wear Oakley instead of nordica and should ski like armada, rossignol, or salomon. a company with a good newschool department

This is not 100% posotive but I just got word from a Nordica rep that Nordica is dropping Kristi. Apparently she's been giving them a lot of trouble, goin off for weeks without letting Nordica know where she is ridding. Hopefully she'll get hooked up with the right people.

 
If nordica does that, then it is proved to be one of the stupidest companies on earth, unless she quit or did something stupid

i found out what happened for sure. one of my friends dates amanda(kristi's sister) and her contract expired, and she's not sure if she wants to sign with them again and the reps have been saying they dropped her.

The thing is Nordica did push alot of marketing on her,

exposure is key, and she, and nordica got a win, win situation

unfortuantly for nordica, people aren't going to buy a ski just because a persons hot, (well, mabey.... if Sarah Burke had a pro model.... Armada....;) but

anyways, don't think for a second that her roll for nordica didn't spill into the mid-level skis,

Some yuppy reading powder probley saw the add, and bought a different nordica product... the beast doesn't have a wide appeal to it

they should drop her. from what i've heard she's not worth their money. she doesnt enjoy the sport like she should. she complains and whines about skiing. who wants to be around that. as well i dont find she has much style, tho happy dayz didnt do sarah justice, i find sarah to be the better skier. and kristy to be too big of a bitch. i think she's falling behind the times..

dude whatever, the nordica skis are the shit, at least if you like carving. They hold an edge so much better than any other ski out there, even after you get your grind on.

yea cravate, she definately loves the sport. her sister gave me a ride home today after skiing and she was telling me about how kristi has always devoted all of her time to skiing. it's her life. she was the #2 female in the world in wakeboarding, and she gave it up just so she could ski all year. you can't even say she doesn't love the sport

I think nordica's in a catch-22. If they stick with Kristi, there's little return; the number of people who buy nordica because of kristi probably isn't worth her contract. If they drop her, there'll be alot of backlash, negative pr. I can't say anything because I don't know the economics involved, but either way...Nordica has to expand their team, then Kristi could become a big factor for them.

 
The tihng is Kristi will be a huge benifit to any well know an d recognized company... but no matter who the pro. I wouldn't blame kristi for leaving them... she deserves better. Also Nordica is losing money with her. They'll probably divorce. Armada would be right for her for th ereasons listed above.

mad trixx, i said from what i've heard. my personal experiences with her. have led to a bad view of her. but i dont really know her. but again i repeat this is what i heard. and whatever shes a girl who skiis so i wont diss on her that bad. at least she skiis , im just saying she could have a better attitude. but all in all i dont care if they drop her or not. the product is shit. and if nordica wants to waste their money trying to pawn her off as a sex model. by all means.. go for it. but sex isnt skiing. not to mention it doesnt hold a great outlook for other girls trying to join the sport. kinda like saying. hey u gotta look great and have a nice body to even be considered to become sponsored. im not saying companies feel this way. but thats a good outcome. i know many girls feel this way.

If armada was smart they would pick up philou, that would add an extra dimension to their team especially since they dont have any crazy pipe skiers

What the hell were they doing with a car on the moon?... havent they gone far enough?
 
it would be sick if armada picked up a new girl. it's sick to see kristi and sarah, and i have mad respect for what they do, but it would be sick to see a new girl tearin shit up.
