Drop In Speed Help

Built a drop in this November and used it all winter and i had more than enough speed to hit a 15 foot pvc rail. Tried to retrofit it with some outdoor carpeting(water/detergent) and snowfence for summer use, but I'm having speed trouble even getting to the end of a 10 foot box. I was wondering what you guys think I should do to make this more usable.

your tranny is wayyy too quick, this causes ur skis to have to flex like crazy in order to go from the down ramp to the jump, that causes tones of force pushing you back, therefore losing a ton of speed!

what you need to do: first you should take your jump and slide it away from the drop, then make a flat section to go inbbetween the drop and jump

then you may want to make your tranny for the jump smoother, by adding more sections of wood between the flat and jump

good luck, if u have any more questions or want a sketch, pm me

not such a high jump. you don't need to ride on to your two foot wide box, jump a little.

i bothered to look at the picture, yes. a high rail with a smaller jump may be intimidating at first but overall it will help you get better at different features and urban style rails. you could easily shave off atleast 3 inches.

thats not the reason at all! he has barley enough speed to get off the box! shaving it down wouldnt help at all! the tranny for the drop and jump needs to be smoother and he needs flats as i mentioned earlier
